5 stars, no notes!
Cannot recommend the Kick Back Tiny Shack enough! Tucked away in the woods near Pequaywan Lakes, it was a perfect spot to watch the snow fall through the window and enjoy a warm and cozy Minnesotan getaway. Terri and Mickey were so accommodating, going so far as to plow the driveway out for us on a chilly Saturday, and I can’t speak highly enough of their communication and hospitality. Thank you both for having us, it was absolutely a 5-star stay! My significant other and I both hope to make the trek up from the cities to visit again sometime soon, maybe in the summer next :) Do book if you can, nothing but good things to say about this retreat!

We loved using the kick back tiny shack. We had two small kids with us, and it worked great for them. Would definitely stay again. Very hospitable couple as well.

My family (3 adults, 1 toddler) thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Tiny Shack. It was a wonderful experience all around! The Tiny Shack was comfortable and spacious for us - my parents reported the bed to be comfortable, while my toddler and I slept really well on the futon and camp cot. There is a great gas stove as well as a fridge that is almost normal sized for European standards :) the table seats 4 as well. It is evident that Terri put a lot of thought, care and attention to detail into setting up the Tiny Shack and its surroundings. We loved the fireplaces, as well as a small pagoda like structure that features a mosquito net, which was really nice as we all know this summer to be particularly bug-heavy. We would have loved to use the barbeque as well but didn't have enough time. The Tiny Shack was a great starting point for my family to spend a weekend exploring the beautiful North Shore and it was wonderful to have a home away from home tucked away in the North Woods, away from the busy areas such as Duluth and Two Harbours. Terri is a great host and made sure that we had everything we needed (and more), and I am certain we will return. I am glad to have found this little gem of a place!

Successful Girl’s Trip
We loved our stay at the tiny shack. The decor and ample backyard with enough options for grilling dinner or kicking back were an unexpected surprise. Location was perfect for sightseeing along the Superior hiking trail, and was a great stop to kick off a fun girl’s trip in Two Harbors/Duluth after cheering on our friend at the grandma s marathon. We can’t wait to be back!
