Great place to spend the eclipse! The hosts were kind to meet us at the front of their property, even when we arrived late. It’s a gorgeous spot with a lovely pond. This was a perfect place to camp on our way to Wappapello State Park.

We had a wonderful time at Christa’s place. They were very attentive and friendly hosts and their land is beautiful and secluded and the perfect spot for camping! Highly recommended staying with them!

I can’t say enough good things about this spot. It was even better than described. Christa and Lloyd were the best hosts of any Hipcamp I’ve stayed at. They were very friendly and gave great tips and things to explore in the area. They clearly enjoy the connections they make and conversations they have from hosting people. They have lots of land and made sure to spread each group out so everybody had privacy. They had fishing poles to fish at the lake and firewood ready to go in the fire pit. I brought my paddleboard and took it out on the lake and it was beautiful. There are so many things to explore. They have a small orchard, a beautiful clear stream and so much more. I wish I lived closer because I would love to make this a regular camping spot. There are no bathrooms, so if you’re tent camping— plan ahead. There is a lake/state park about 15-20 minutes away with air conditioned bathrooms and flushing toilets that my group did take advantage of 😂

Total Eclipse
7 m campervan · With pets
This was the perfect location to watch the total solar eclipse and the hosts couldn’t have been nicer, more welcoming humans. Felt like I had the place to myself - just wish I could’ve stayed and explored the huge property more! The eclipse was magical and I’m so glad I chose this location for it.
