Welcome to BNC Farms! We are located smack in the middle of desert in Chaparral, NM. We have two short term rentals on the property. The Desert Dome and Harvey the Skoolie. Both are unique stays. We love to show people the beauty the desert has to offer. We also live on site and are around to answer any questions or help you out. We want all of our guests to be able to enjoy their stay and have as much privacy as possible. Both stays have a fire pit and their own hang out area. There are farm animals on the property! Your fur babies are welcome, we only ask you keep them leashed at all time. If you would like to see more about our rentals, or see local recommendations check out our instagram @BNC3Farms. We look forward to hosting you. Bailey and Nadia** Please read the entire description** This is a great location to use as "home base" to take day trips to White Sands National Park, Guadalupe Mountains National Park, Carlsbad Caverns National Park, Hueco Tanks State park, and the cities of Hatch, Cloudcroft and Ruidoso, NM (we often go up to visit just for the day and come home).    Our geodome was built in 2001 by multiple people within the Chaparral community. Chaparral is nestled right in between El Paso, TX and Las Cruces, NM. Both cities can be easily accessed from the dome.  The inside boasts an open floor plan with living room, dining room and full kitchen. The living room has 2 futons, large reclining couch, and a smart TV. Please come prepared with your Netflix/Hulu/Prime etc. account information. There is a full bathroom downstairs with a washer and dryer.   The upstairs loft has a king size bed and with a unique view out the large window. There is also a half bath.  The back door has a doggy door for your fur babies that leads to a fenced in area. We understand you may want to do activities that your pet is not able to go to. Your pet is welcome to stay in the home but MUST be kenneled if left alone. Failure to do so could result in an additional fee and any repair costs. We do not recommend leaving your pets unattended during the summer months. Please remember this is the desert, there are goat heads (thorns/stickers) here aka “picas”. It’s apart of desert life, so we recommend wearing tennis shoes or boots. If you are bringing pets along we recommend doggie shoes for them although, not a requirement and most pets are fine. Pets are allowed here, please consider this if you deal with any allergies. There are Ring cameras on the outside of the dome for security purposes.  Important: June-September is monsoon season in our area. It's also summer time and very hot. The dome is run by a swamp cooler. This is much different than refrigerated air. You may find the air to be humid inside and the swamp cooler is only able to cool the house to a certain temperature. This time of year also brings flies around. The flies can be mitigated if you open and close the front door as quickly as possible.  Please note, the dome is very close to White Sands Missile range, which is an extension of Ft. Bliss. There are military trainings that occur here and you may hear noises from it. At times you may be able to watch the tracer missile's fall from the upstairs loft. This usually occurs during the summer time but can vary. We personally find it   very interesting and enjoy it  . With that said, we do not want our guests to have any surprises when they get here about desert life. The desert is beautiful, the sunsets and sunrises are breathtaking and the dome offers quite the unique experience. We love the desert and hope you'll love it   as much as we do. We can't wait to have you as our guest!

Gorgeous desert dome
With pets
Gorgeous desert dome! Very friendly helpful hosts. The dome was so cozy and welcoming, we loved staying there. Quiet, beautiful decorations, lots of games, fully stocked kitchen for cooking, washer and dryer, comfortable beds! We enjoyed the goats and donkey too. Strongly recommend.

Loved this place! Bailey was amazing. We arrived late and they left the lights on for us which was very thoughtful. We got to see some of the goats walking around and we met the donkey! Will definitely come here again if im passing through. So peaceful, clean and space was bigger than expected.

Thunderdome is an amazing home!
The Thunderdome is an absolute gem! My wife and I felt right at home, the space was very spacious for us two and was very cozy and well decorated. Bailey is an extremely friendly host, we talked to her for about an hour when she let us feed her donkey and goats, she told us some history about the home and about it’s surroundings areas which was very interesting to hear. We definitely want to come back!

The desert dome is a dream!
An incredibly cozy stay, perfectly maintained, with all the amenities! The amount of thoughtfulness and care shown to us during our stay was far beyond the call of duty, communication was extremely pleasant and fast. The view across the desert is stunning, waking up to it through the huge picture window from the wonderful bed starts your day off right! Grilling on the barbecue and the fire pit or using the gas range and microwave makes for delicious home cooked meals, but we were also left plenty of information for eating out or ordering takeout! The locals are very friendly but leave you in peace, for an all around relaxing and lovely getaway!
