Set up camp next to undulating Mirrool Creek frontage and enjoy recreational activities including swimming, fishing and paddling. Don't forget to bring your canoe or kayak. The camp area is scattered with redgums and you have great views of the wonderful scenery. Depending on where you camp as far as access to the toilets goes, you could be anywhere from 20 metres to 500 metres from the facilities. Water is also in close proximity as well depending on where u setup. You are welcome to enjoy a campfire, within local regulations. There is plenty of wildlife around, including kangaroos. and birdlife. Close to Lake Abortree, a 70 acre inland lake. Only 6kms from village of Ariah Park- whichlikes to describe itself as a town of 'bowsers, wowsers and peppercorn trees'. There is something delightfully timeless about the town: the wide main street with the tree-lined median strip; the old shops with their verandas; the quietness and peacefulness. Peaceful
18 ft pop-up camper · With kids
Geoff was an incredible host going above and beyond for us. The kids loved kayaking, fishing and catching yabbies. If you enjoy camping with no one else around, amazing stars, the sounds of frogs croaking at night, and waking up to the chirping of countless birds then you will love it here.

Peaceful camping spot

Geoff is a great host and great/quick with communication! He gave us directions from town and then took us to the campsite. The site itself was peaceful and with lots of room. The lake is surrounded by lovely trees which provide some much needed shade. We took our SUPs out on the late and had a good paddle around and got to see some of the bird life around the area. Would 100% recommend this site.

The farm is great and Geoff is so nice! We are the only camper this time and we love the spot close to the lake. It’ll be better if we didn’t come on a rainy day, cause the road gat muddy. PS. Chat with Geoff for navigation before you go and not to use direction link on Hicamp (for now, hope Hicamp could correct it in the future). We’ve been navigated to another direction.

Nice spot
Tent · Group trip
Had a great time camping over Easter weekend on Geoffrey's property with friends. Plenty of space for all 8 of us to set up tents under shade with picnic tables and toilet right next to us. Pros: Quiet and spacious spot with green grass next to the lake. Got some nice sunrises/sunsets. Cons: The lake itself at the moment is very shallow (waist deep) and muddy which means that it's not great for swimming currently. We went in once but I wouldn't advise
