Bear Creek Tee-Pee Retreat is a small slice of paradise in Mocksville NC. We are the last property at the end of a dirt road surrounded by woods on all sides. We built this space as our little stay-cation spot and knew we had to share it. We are passionate about what we do and work hard to continue to build and grow and share this beautiful space for others to enjoy. We have 3 primitive sites and 2 authentic tee-pees. There is a bath house with a heated shower, and a port-a-john that is cleaned regularly. There are 2 picnic areas with charcoal grills. We have a 24x16 enclosed stage that can be used for bands, educational classes, karaoke, yoga... ect. There is also an outdoor movie theater that is available to rent for an evening. There are a few restaurants close by and we are only 6 miles from downtown Mocksville. There are a lot of wineries and breweries within a 30 min drive from our property. We are about 15 minutes from river access to the Yadkin river for anyone looking to Kayak. There are lots of local fishing holes and places to go horseback riding. We are about an hour drive to lots of different hiking trails from pilot mountain, and hanging rock to the blue ridge parkway. We have 2 dogs that live here and will greet you at the gate. Please be respectful of the neighbors and drive slowly down the dirt road to our property to limit dust. We look forward to hosting your camping get away.

Rustic Tee Pee Retreat

Camping in a tee pee

Peaceful retreat, a different experience of actually staying in a tee pee tent. Owners are nice and let's you enjoy your time. Provides lots of entertainment. My son was obsessed with the friendly daily greeters Rip and Archie.

Glamping TeePee

First Glamping Adventure

This was our family’s first glamping adventure, so I wasn’t sure how things would be. Jodi answered all of our questions and provided instructions that were clear. She is correct…Rip did get into our teepee and ate our dinner leftovers! Lol! We had the door to the teepee tied, but he got in some kinda way. The dogs are friendly and my boys enjoyed their visits. All in all, it was a great experience and we’d visit again.

Site 2 - Secluded Campsites

Already planning our next visit!

We absolutely loved the site. We brought our own tent, but we will definitely come back with the kids and stay in one of the teepees. Everything was so clean and well maintained. Ample parking. The dogs are so friendly and sweet! And the hosts 100% top notch!!

Site 1 - Secluded Campsites

We chose camping spot #2, camped in our 6-person tent, and still had plenty of room for the fire, chairs, and hammock. Jodi was super helpful with all of our needs. Her puppies (campground managers) came to visit us multiple times to check in and make sure we were enjoying our stay. The area was very peaceful and full of night wildlife and birds, which I loved. It was also central to a TA and a Walmart, which we visited multiple times during our stay. Highly recommend if you plan on camping in the area!

Rustic Tee Pee Retreat

The hosts were amazing. The place was beautiful and had a lot of things to do. There were picnic tables and light both during the day and evening. Both teepees were comfortable and well lit . The outdoor movie area was beautiful complete with a fire pit perfect for making s’mores . It was the perfect place for girls weekend .

Rustic Tee Pee Retreat

It was a very nice experience staying, my girls enjoyed it, best place to have some personal and family time, plus the good personality of the owner and his willingness to help if you don't know how to use things around, love the fact that had most of the necessary things to use in case "u didnt bring your own" thank you for that, also this very friendly, cute and welcoming dogs, they will be there guiding you to the tee pee. Loved it.
