Peace and privacy await you on our farm, pasture and woods, this working herb farm is a haven for rest and exploring. The Sites are situated far enough from each other to allow for privacy. Our land was originally where the Cherokee grew their medicine with Mt. Pisgah looking over us. We are still clearing up after Hurricane Helene so we don’t look exactly like we used to. The campsites are fine but the driving path moved a little. Please drive slowly on driveway and grounds. Our farm is Organic and we minimize the amount of chemicals used on it out of respect to the land. The creek has clean water, although we provide well water for the humans. Situated 20 minutes from Asheville and 2 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway, we are close to civilization and far from the everyday hustle and bustle. This is a great place to unwind in nature. We will soon be adding Forest Bathing. The frogs eat most of the mosquitos and the fireflies will provide the nightly entertainment from May till August.

Camping at this site offers a serene and picturesque setting with a flowing creek that many campers find soothing and conducive to a good night's sleep. The location is close to Asheville and offers privacy and a rustic feel, which many campers appreciate. However, some reviews note that the campsite can be a bit basic and muddy, which might not suit everyone. Hosts Lorri and Rich are consistently praised for their friendliness and hospitality, but the lack of amenities and uneven terrain are mentioned as potential drawbacks.

Very basic, beautiful views

The host was absolutely wonderful and really accommodating. We rented site 2 and it was very muddy and small for a group of 8 (it is difficult to see in the available pictures). Someone canceled and the host let us use the gazebo which was really great and she was wonderful and responsive throughout our stay. Overall the campsite is extremely basic, there are no real amenities, the grass is really high and the field uneven, so it was not a great setup with just a tent and I had expected a bit more for the price. The views are beautiful and proximity to Asheville are great, so the campsite may work well for others.

Perfect private camp site! The creek was so nice to have and dip into. Would definitely book again. Tucked away but close to everything.

Site 2
We stayed at campsite 2. It was perfectly tucked away in a canopy of trees with a babbling creek a few feet away from our tent & firepit. You can park your car right up to the site too. The Blue Ridge Parkway was about a 10-15 min drive which made it very convenient for a hike up Pisgah Mt & sunrise at Frying Pan Tower. I enjoyed cooling off in the creek afterwards. At night the we laid in the grassy meadow to view the stars. We saw a few meteors including a HUGE one flash by! Lorri was very responsive & helpful with direction tips. Super easy to get too off HwY 40. Only negative thing I can say is that a loud weed whacker noise interrupted my morning nap but hey, chores need to be done, right? Pro tip: bring a small table & water/river sandals for walking in the creek :)

Beautiful property and view! The river was cool and clean and we were grateful for the addition of a fire pit. Lori was great to talk to-- thanks again, hopefully we'll be back!

The absolute best primitive camping
Tent · With pets ·
Where do I start? We came with a group of 19 to a chunk of healing land, truly healing! We came there coming from our normal chaotic, working lives to a land that spoke to us internally. The host Lorri and Rich, owners of the property were soooooo welcoming, quick to respond to any questions or help we may have needed, and gave back story on their land and how it has healing properties, and what it took for them to get lt started. It was so warm and humbling. I challenge families and friends out there to come to property, get off the grid and experience true camping. Camping with a beautiful creek, healing plants and trees and disconnect from modern day living. Thank you Lorri ans Rich❤️
