Calling all urban campers visiting Durham! There are many local natural attractions (Eno River State Park, Falls Lake, Jordan Lake etc.) for hiking and boating. Additionally we are within biking distance of the heart of downtown Durham! We have a large backyard with room for tent, as well as a super cozy popup camper available for you to rent out. This property certainly has an urban feeling, but we have a fire pit, hammock, and compost toilet
Carter is super kind and responsive to any questions and help needed. The place is located in a pretty urban area which makes it great for exploring Durham and being back in just a couple of minutes. If you’re just roadtripping for a night or so as I was, this spot is nice and very central. Planet fitness is right around the corner so if you need a shower it’s extremely close. Would recommend it to the solo traveler just looking for a quick pit stop in Durham
Was nice to have the AC for air flow and the heater in the cooler mornings. nice yard with chairs. It's tiny, simple and cute.. just enough for one person to crash for a bit.
Camping at Carter's house was exactly the simple and convenient spot I was looking for. I appreciated the location, so close to Duke campus and in a good area where I felt secure. As an experienced RVer, I pretty much knew what to expect in Carter's camper, but I was pleasantly surprised at what a cozy, easy night of sleep I got. Little touches like the coffee maker within arm's reach made things even nicer, and it was nice to have the clean water supply available as well.
Overall, this spot met my needs quite well at a very reasonable price. I would book again and recommend to others.
