Come camp in "Peace of Pisgah" just 5 minutes to the entrance of Pisgah Forest! This campsite is heavily wooded and shaded among a mix of trees and rhododendrons along a pristine creek. Your campsite is directly on the creek and includes a picnic table, a fire ring and a flat parking spot in case you are car camping or VanLifing!
Perfect spot to call home for a mountain bike trip in the area. Super close to the Pisgah ranger district, and all of the convenient amenities that you could hope for. I will definitely be back! Also Vicki is the kindest host I’ve ever stayed with! So communicative and hospitable!
The campsite is misleading with the pictures and description on Hip Camp, but the Hosts were helpful in helping us get what we needed and what could make us comfortable in 20-degree weather. The description of the campsite does not include the location of it being beside a highway and a busy gravel road entering a neighborhood. There is a slight privacy fence, but it only covers a small portion of the site, where everyone passing by can look directly into the campsite making us worry about our stuff especially if we left. All night we experienced cars headlights and sounds and people seemingly staring out their car window as we were trying to eat dinner around the campfire. Also, this campsite has chickens and roosters that we were not aware about until we booked the site. All in all, the Hosts were nice, but the campsite was misleading and misinformative.
Campsite 1 was just right for my first car camping experience to test out my camping set up. Vicki was so communicative and helpful. The compositing toilet was the nicest, cleanest, best smelling I have ever experienced. Even with the cool weather the Instant heat shower was so nice. I will definitely be back
Vicki was such a kind and gracious host! The whole site was wonderful and very clearly well thought out. There was a little bit of road noise, but we still slept great! Our favorite part was definitely the hot shower. It was a nice treat after a long day. We’d definitely recommend!
