Could not find this hipcamp
9 ft travel trailer
Joseph K was the host and was quick to respond before the trip. I arrived at the address at 9:10pm pulling my micro (4ftx8ft) camper. The directions said I would turn on a "red (dirt) driveway" but I saw no color red and that had me concerned that I was in the wrong place. I got out and double checked the number on the mailbox and the number was correct. It was very dark and the gravel road was narrow off of the pavement. I was reluctant to pull my camper down the gravel road only to find I can't turn around. I was also afraid of getting shot by someone (reference: recent rural upstate NY man shoots at car with 4 teenage girls who made a wrong turn on a gravel road and one girl dies). I sent Joseph multiple messages through the hipcamp app but no response. I contacted "hipcamp support" which was no help (it is automated AI). After 20 minutes I decided to keep driving for another 3.5 hours, arriving home at 1am. Joseph apologized the next day. He said he was sleeping when I messaged him the night before. I suggest Joseph install an unmistakeable landmark so that people arriving at night will know they are in the right place.

Recommended spot in Rockingham Co!
Tent
Great location with friendly host. Not far from the road but still quiet and peaceful! About 5 minutes from a Wal-Mart if you forgot something. Perfect spot to stargaze! Bring your bug spray- ticks abound! Tip to get there- if the addressed mailbox/drive is on your left, go to the next (not numbered/ private property signs) gravel drive.

Our dogs first camping trip
Tent
Very nice big property for our quick overnight stay. Our dogs had a big time! Felt very private even though you’re not too far from the road. Had excellent cell phone reception. Walked a lot of land that was beautiful. Would recommend to other travelers a high deet bug spray and make sure dogs are up to date on tick prevention. Other than that, the bugs were minimal. Host was very friendly and accommodating through messaging. We would stay again!

So much space to park, to walk, and the dogs could be off leash! Very easy and a pleasure for our one night! Thank you!

We enjoyed our stay at Joe’s farm. It was quiet, plenty of space, and had beautiful shade spots to camp. We stayed there for one night as an instant book, Joseph was quick and attentive. He also provided us with recommendations for drinks and food. His spot is a must stay for those who just need a break from the fast life.
