Located on a 10 acre family owned ranch. Set in a beautiful open area surrounded by mountains and forest. View of the Smith River and Otter Slough with access to boating and fishing just five minutes away. The Pacific Ocean is 20 minutes away and the beautiful Lake Marie State Park is also 20 minutes away. It offers swimming for all ages, fishing and boating. Quiet and peaceful away from the bustling camp grounds but close to a bevy of outdoor activities. We call it our Little Piece of Heaven.

Haven 2

Great hosts!

The hosts were great and the site was clean and easily accessible with our 30ft rv. It is of the beaten path for a quiet and more natural experience. We really enjoyed ourselves.

What a tranquil, relaxing overnight at the end of a multi-day trip from SoCal. Lynn was so welcoming (didn't get to meet his wife Tina). Three large grassy spaces with good views of the Smith River estuary & plenty of wildlife. There is a lovely little pergola area Lynn had stocked with drinking water & mosquito repellent items, complete with a propane firepit for our use. Mosquitos are very common anywhere on the coast & so we were prepared when the sun went down. We do Hipcamp frequently and really appreciated the extras of a very clean porta-potti, trash receptacles, and 120v electric if needed via an extension cord. We highly recommend this location and hope to return.

Coastal Haven

We absolutely loved camping at Deer Haven! Haven indeed, beautiful views in a serene setting. Every morning we were greeted by deer on the edge of the lawn. Lynn is a wonderful host and spent some time visiting with us. We can’t wait to book our next trip to Deer Haven Ranch!

The view from camp 3 is gorgeous. The campsites are large, but there is no barrier between campsites. The host was very communicative and responded quickly. Would stay again!
