Private campsites, friendly rare breed farm animals, beautiful views, a waterfall and waterhole for swimming. Gleneden Farm is family run 640 acre working farm nestled in the picturesque western foothills of the Main Range just 90mins from Brisbane. We have free range pigs, sheep, cows, lots of chooks running around the farm and beautiful mountainbiking and bushwalking tracks. You can also buy our organic pastured pork, wood smoked nitrate free ham and bacon, beef, eggs, soaps and jams at the farm shop. We farm using a combination of traditional farming crafts and the most innovative organic, regenerative techniques available. With no chemicals, few machines and a wide variety of friendly farm animals Gleneden is a place for families to reconnect with nature and farm life. We enjoy sharing our farm, both with campers and day visitors to our working bullock team displays and farm tours. Beautiful North Branch Creek runs through Gleneden, with pools, ripples and a waterfall. Native Eucalypt woodland covers two thirds of our property. We value and work to enhance the great natural biodiversity and beauty in our valley. We offer a small number of private bush campsites on our beautiful, peaceful, uncrowded rural landscape. There are four creekside campsites along 600m of creek and four on hilltops with great views. 4WD is needed for most sites. Gleneden is a place to slow down, unplug, relax, unwind, explore and play.

Gleneden Farm offers a truly serene and private camping experience, with spacious sites that allow you to enjoy the natural beauty of the area. Many campers appreciate the creekside locations and the opportunity to interact with farm animals, which adds a unique touch to the stay. The hosts, Rohan and Fiona, are frequently mentioned for their warm hospitality and efforts to make guests feel welcome. While most reviews are overwhelmingly positive, one camper noted the pricing was a bit high, though the overall experience seems to be valued by most visitors.

Outstanding campsite, beautiful scenery and lovely horses. It’s a peaceful place with beautiful sunsets. I highly recommend it. I made a video of Maggie’s Flat on my YouTube channel Stress Less Camp More called Setting Up Camp by the River | A Soothing ASMR Experience.

What can I say - you will love it!!

Our first Hipcamp booking has set the bar very high indeed! We wish we had more than the short stay we booked and will definitely be back in the near future! Camp hosts are incredibly welcoming, friendly, kind and helpful. Location of property - amazing! Easy to find. Secluded but not far from all the things you may need. (Delicious natural produce available direct from hosts.) Property itself - absolutely divine! Nature lovers dream. A plentitude of farm animals (pig, cows, goats, chooks, geese) to see close by to our camp spot, with even more just a short walk away. We were very grateful to Rohan for bringing horses up closer to camp for my horsey daughter to enjoy. Also a multitude of wildlife to see and hear. The incredible sound of a rushing creek behind our camp lulled us to sleep at night and upon waking was a beautiful spot to have a fresh morning dip or wash face. The creek was able to be crossed by 4WD to access further camp spots or by foot to go on walk. (Take your big gumboots!) A short walk led us to a second creek crossing for a swim and explore. (Also crossable by 4WD.) Further walking (but not far at all) revealed the gentle cascading falls further upstream and it was a sight and sound to behold. Our walk also led us to discover that other campers were on the property - we had not seen or heard them from our own lovely camp spot. We thank our lucky stars to have been fortunate enough to stay here and can’t wait until our return for a longer duration. 10/10!!

A Tranquil Weekend
My partner and I stayed at the Valley View campsite for two nights over the weekend. From the moment we arrived Rohan and Fiona made us feel so welcome on their farm. It was quickly apparent that they really cared about the quality of our stay on their amazing property. Our campsite was beautiful, with a large fire pit and views of the valley and stars. The creek was about a 10 minute walk from our site, though they have sites much closer if desirable. The water was so clear and refreshing, my partner and I made multiple trips to the waterfall during our stay. The farm animals were great, along with the scenery. The campsites are nicely spaced apart too, allowing a good amount of privacy which was lovely. On our way out, we stopped by the front to buy some of Fiona and Rohan’s organic produce; fresh eggs, lamb, bacon, and handmade soap bars (which smell amazing). We had a few lovely chats before heading back to Brisbane. Overall, it was truly a pleasure to stay at Gleneden Farm. Fiona and Rohan have such a positive and refreshing outlook toward sustainability and organic farming, and it was nice to hear their thoughts on a couple things. I highly recommend Gleneden for anyone looking for a relaxing few days surrounded by beautiful scenery and people. We hope to return soon :)

Creekside camping
19 ft travel trailer ·
Lovely creekside camping. Short walk up to the waterfall by road, or you can rock hop up the creek. Nice and flat, no prickles and no cow poo. Went up to see the piglets. Walked around the property was a nice stay

Quiet with beautiful views
16 ft pop-up camper ·
Beautiful views with forested hills as the backdrop and a creek with a swimming hole and waterfall. Well maintained clean campsites. Great organic farm produce to buy. Easy to get to as it’s a bitumen road to the gate. Lots of birdlife and it was so lovely and quiet! The hilltop sites are very private. You can’t see any other campers. Easy drive from Brisbane.
