Take a walk around the property to check out some of the creatures that have been built out of scrap metal and bush bars that have been built all around the property. There is plenty of room and some great tracks for the kids and the big kids to ride their push bikes on. The swimming hole is about 2 meters deep and has big shady trees on the edge. There is also enough room for kids to bring their kayaks and have a paddle along the river. All campsites can be provided with their own fire pit. You just pick your spot and we will bring a portable fire pit to you. Fire wood can be purchased at the property. All rubbish must be taken when you, there are no rubbish bins provided.

We have a beautiful deepwater lake that's perfect for swimming, canoeing. The property is traversed by a number of rain forested creeks and ravines which are perfect for adventure hiking and rock climbing. We can also take you horse riding around the farm for a couple of hours or to the local winery if you prefer longer ride. We cater for all levels of riding. We have many panoramic campsites for you to choose from. These are suited to any one with the swag, tent, camper, caravan or motorhome. You need to be self sufficient. For those liking the comforts of home we have a bunkhouse which sleeps 10 and has electricity, water, flush toilet, shower, stove, microwave and TV. Linen is not supplied. If you are driving 2wd, or 4wd towing a caravan or a big trailer and GPS takes you through Mountain View rd., do not go that way, go through Dayboro rd. For those without transport Dakabin train station is 25 min from the farm. Pick up and drop off to the station can be arranged. So if you want to escape the crowds at public campgrounds, your privacy and enjoyment are assured! We are NOT a 4WD park so vehicles must be parked up at your site on arrival and left there unless leaving the property to go to town/tourist activities. Any exploration of the property or travel to toilets is strictly on foot only- NO 4WD'ing. Anyone driving around the property will be asked to leave. There is 500 m of (shallow) creek frontage, kms of walking/riding trails and grassy creek flats for recreational activities. Over the decades, the property has been used to farm goats, train racing camels and spell racehorses. There is also a variety of fruit trees and plantation timber. Caravans are restricted on where they can access- with no guarantee of sufficient sunlight for solar. Elevated/remote sites cannot be reached with a caravan- please bear this in mind if booking with a caravan. Elevated/remote sites require capable 4WD's with off-road/AT/mud tyres only and campers need to be fully self-sufficient including having their own chemical camping toilets. If you don't have your own commercial chemical camping toilet then you will be given a choice of sites with access to facilities. Somerset Dam is 40minutes away and you are able to use your own motorised equipment there. We are more expensive per person than other camp sites. Please note this includes hipcamp fees and charges and you are covered by hipcamp insurance. We don’t charge for pets, nor do we charge to use our 6 onsite canoes, nor do we charge extra for hot showers or rubbish removal, we have guest wifi. Our 1km private driveway is rough but if driven to conditions a 2wd has no issues. I have a 2wd and drive in and out multiple times per day. Most of the time space is abundant however if choosing to come on a long weekend, Easter or New Years expect it to be a lot busier than your average weekend with larger groups camping together, however still plenty of space between groups. You won’t ever have to trip over your neighbours tent ropes here. Eco friendly lakefront and near to lake front sites. Please don’t arrive expecting lakefront, our sites are all near to and Depending on group size not everyone will have lake frontage. We can never guarantee requests. We assign sites based on numbers and camping equipment. The main towns are Bundaberg and Gladstone, but it’s worth checking out the coastal villages of Agnes Water and 1770 or heading inland to explore the trails and gorges of the spectacular Carnarvon National Park.
