Kolan River Retreat offers a serene camping experience with ample space and friendly hosts, Peter and Melinda, who ensure guests feel welcome. The campsite is well-maintained, featuring clean toilets, hot showers, and fire pits that add to the comfort. Visitors appreciate the peaceful surroundings and enjoy activities like fishing, crabbing, and observing wildlife. However, potential downsides include limited mobile service and the presence of sandflies and mozzies near the water, but the tranquil setting and amenities generally leave campers eager to return.

We loved tent camping at Kolan River Retreat! The views were beautiful, adorable cows and directions were clear. There was another site nearby but they packed up at 8pm and left so we had the field to ourselves.

Great for young families!
32 ft pop-up camper · With kids
Fantastic, secluded spot and great for camping with the family including young kids. Peter and Melinda were great hosts and the kids are still talking about Peter and his tractor. Great getaway from the grind of everyday life with access to the river via the boat ramp onsite, and easy driving distance to Bundy central and Moore Park Beach. Recommended.

We loved Kolan River Retreat and would highly recommend it. Large open grass flat to camp on beside the river. Firepits are nice to have. Toilet and shower were an added bonus and very clean. Thank you. We will be back.
