We loved staying at this Hipcamp. There was a beautiful outlook over the mountains. We enjoyed watching the sunset over the mountains. We visited the river under the bridge and this was a highlight for our 7 year old. We also visited the sunflower fields at Kalbar which is only 30 minutes away. We love the local pub with live music and yummy food. There are plenty of public toilets close by which was convenient. The host was very welcoming and friendly.

Overall we had a pleasant nights stay. Unfortunately the site was too close to owners house, basically in the backyard. Had our two dogs and was reminded to keep them quiet. Pretty hard when paddock of friendly cattle is less than 3 metres away (was unaware of this). Noise from local pub and road not pleasant. Very small for vans

Good simple escape from Brisbane for a couple of nights. Lisa is a lovely host! Great location, easy walk/bike ride into Boonah, and the Dungandan pub is five minutes walk (well worth a visit). Turning circles are tight for a 8.5m van, but manageable.

Camp offgrid & walk to the pub!
16 ft Class B
We were looking for options for staying overnight in our old campervan somewhere within walking distance of the Dugandan pub. Lisa's beautiful little garden area was perfect for this. A little bit away from things but, if you're wanting a night out, you can walk down the road to a lovely historic pub. There are some lights from the pub and other buildings at night but the views across the rest of the horizon were so lovely. We tucked our campervan in amongst some gorgeous old trees, stayed up late next to our fire and enjoyed some stargazing out away from the city lights. Lisa went out of her way to accommodate our last minute booking including waiting in the cold at the entrance to her property to direct us in, and then greeting us with such warmth and kindness. Lisa then left us to set up and enjoy the spot in complete privacy (there were no other campers). Perfect spot for a night away from things and so grateful to Lisa for making everything extra lovely and easy.
