Welcome to the Historic Palmer Firetower Property!
Located on Palmer Mountain, this unique property offers a chance to experience the natural beauty and rich history of Grundy County. The Forestry markers, which once indicated the property as the location of the firetower, are scattered across the yard. The firetower was dismantled years ago, but the site remains a beautiful spot with significant historical value.
The property spans 2.24 acres, nestled in the mountains of Grundy County, offering peaceful seclusion with stunning landscapes. Enjoy sunrises, wildlife sightings, and complete privacy as you explore this unique part of Tennessee.
The area is known for its untouched charm. Just a short drive from the property, you can access Savage Gulf State Park (Palmer Entrance), perfect for scenic hikes. The OHV Park in Coalmont, just a 28-minute drive, is ideal for off-road vehicle enthusiasts.
Conveniently, the property is near Tracy City, home to the Dutch Maid Bakery, the oldest operating bakery in Tennessee, serving delicious goods since 1889.
For a day trip, the property is about 1 hour from Chattanooga, home to iconic attractions like:
The Tennessee Aquarium, one of the top aquariums in the U.S.
The Lookout Mountain Incline Railway, offering panoramic views.
Chattanooga Zoo, with exotic animals from across the globe.
Ruby Falls, the largest underground waterfall in the U.S.
Rock City, famous for its views of seven states.
Point Park, a Civil War-era battle site, where the Battle of Lookout Mountain occurred in 1863.
The property is also 1 hour 30 minutes from Nashville, with popular attractions like the Country Music Hall of Fame, Ryman Auditorium, and the Nashville Zoo.
