Previously Reverse Pioneers Hilltop, we have re-branded as Sound Ground!
Sound Ground is rooted in land stewardship, community, creative expression, and planet-minded living. Set on 10 acres in central Texas, we currently offer immersive camping opportunities and are working to expand into event hosting, musical collaborations, education, and local agrarian offerings. Built upon an ethos that connects human well-being with the health of our planet, Sound Ground welcomes travelers, outdoor enthusiasts, city-worn individuals, and creative communities who seek a genuine connection with nature and one another.
Kasey Mire is Sound Ground's visionary and founder, but the vision has been and always will be built on community power. Join us in soaking up the magic of this space for a night or 3, and feel free to inquire about longer term stays.
This campsite offers a serene and private retreat, perfect for those looking to reconnect with nature. Guests appreciated the clear signage, clean facilities, and the peacefulness of the surroundings, despite nearby sites. The availability of farm-fresh produce and the friendly host added a charming touch to the stay. However, some noted the proximity of other campers and the slight inconvenience of a rocky incline to reach some sites.
Kasey was really accommodating, helping when there was a little wind challenge on a VERy windy day. We really enjoyed the tent and the property with the little swing and kitty's running around. Composting toilet was easy and felt clean!
This was our first camping trip with 2 kids (age 5 and 2) and I couldn’t recommend this place more. Having a tend set up and ready made our trip focusing on enjoying nature with the littles so easy. Plenty of room inside for a couple sleeping pads so we could all bunk down together. There were several paths that wound through the land which was just enough to make it feel huge for my kids but without them getting too exhausted. The outhouse was also so clean and nice my son said he wished we had one at our house. Thanks for the fantastic memories!
My family and I had an awesome stay! The tent kept us warm despite the cold temps. 10/10 would recommend
