Peaceful, quiet, luxurious, historic, wine country experience. Tara Winery offers a unique vineyard and winery resort style experience. Discover Tara and the myths surrounding the secrets of the vines. TARA was named after the sailboat TARA, pierce family started the vineyard in 2006 and opened the winery in 2007. The historic Murchison mansion is an iconic structure in the midst of the vines. Onsite tasting room and restaurant with share plates and full meals. In 2023, we have added a beautiful 50 ft pool with lovely water features, there is an activity fee to use the pool. Please plan to arrive before dark, so you can get settled in the daylight. If you would like a beautiful view of the winery property, ground camping throughout the vineyard is available and most popular ! There is quick access to our winery and food service if you prefer to relax under our covered patio, or pick up a rib eye or filet from the chef and cook it yourself on your propane grill our our community grill. Enjoy your hand crafted estate wine from TARA winery while camping under the stars. You can be among others or select a remote location. Fires permitted only in designed fire pits. Campfires allowed

Firepit, communal, wood burning fireplace. This is a vineyard with camping available throughout and also available camping along the wooded trial area, during some times of the year fires are permitted, we have fire pits at the winery, but depending on the burn ban they can only be used during certain times, we do have a community smoker that you can use with wood, charcoal etc. We generally have charcoal here to purchase, & wood. You can bring camping stove. We also have scratch kitchen on- site, patio and lawn seating. see www.tarawinery.com. You can bring your own fire ring and use in the open fields (no fires in the woods) so long as the fire is never left unattended.

Toilet available

Flush toilet, portable toilet. There is a toilet available at the winery near the patio and firepits. We also have a porta potti on site for our campers. the porta potti is located near the well house, at the trial head behind the big white INN...

Pets allowed

Pet friendly! We have multiple dogs on the property. Please do bring doggie waste bag and clean up after your pets. We love animals that don't fight with others.

Potable water available

Spigot, tap, hose, pump or well. Water is from the Ozarka source, well is 900 feet and the water is delicious, should bring water bottles or containers to fill. Water is at the well house, there is a white house. We also have ICE for sale. 4 gallons for $10.00. or 1 gallon for $3.00

Showers available

Hot water , cold water only. We do have a outdoor shower that heats by the sun, at the present no privacy, must have swimwear to use shower. Upon request and 2 nights stay we sometime have an indoor shower available.

Bins available

Trash bin. Trash needs to be collected in a trash bag and deposited in the dumpster behind the winery. Please make sure its inside the dumpster and the lid is closed when you are done if possible. Please make sure that if you bring your lovely dog(s), that you clean up after the dog(s) and deposit dog waste in a bag in the dumpster. Thank you for making TARA a wonderful place to camp.

Cooking equipment present

Grill over firepit. There are fire pits and a grill on the property that campers are welcome to use. We also have a chef and scratch kitchen on the property that is open to guests. Please do contact us in advance if you would like to chef to prepare breakfast, lunch dinner. We also have Ice, ,ice and use of a cooler come with the purchase of a poolpass

Picnic table present

there is a picnic table at the Winery patio on the grass, you can also borrow chairs and tables for your site as long as you return the same.

Overall good wine a beautiful property. Hospitality on the low end was expecting something more. Also $20 for a pool pass is ridiculous. Would not recommend to any young colored individuals.

Beautiful place very friendly and helpful. We camped on one of the designated camping areas on the property. Had a little trouble getting further back into the land due to the storms that came through. My son and I were still able to have a good time. There was a very friendly pup roaming the camping area. He hung out with us during our stay.

Wow, this was a great find! The property was extensive with lots of sites to choose from. The kitchen menu was gourmet and expertly prepared and served. The wine was good too. Susan and her staff, Kim and Austin are all friendly and professional. We met many other amazing Hip-campers at our stay! Thank you for everything! (I would also highly recommend buying the pool pass).
