Creekside camping on Cedar Creek, one of the cleanest creeks in America. You'll be surrounded by beautiful scenery with a fire pit at each site. Enjoy birdwatching, wood turtles, wood ducks, eagles, hawks, blue crane, and other wildlife.  Cell phones optional! Take day trips to wineries, farm markets, orchards, historic sites, and more. Enjoy fishing, hiking, National Forest, biking, solitude and nature. Outdoor shower and port-a-john on site. Cornhole boards, firewood and load-in assistance available upon request for a small fee.  Nearby attractions include fishing, hiking, swimming, wineries, biking, orchards, Skyline Drive, and GW national forest. The oral history of Coal Mine Hollow has it that a moonshine still once graced the banks of Camp Cedar Creek. It was run by a recluse, who was always on the move from the Revenuers. A revenuer went missing along Cedar Creek one moonlit night, never to be seen again.  The bearded recluse who ran the still, owned two mules, and an old car frame without a motor. Those mules would pull him through the hollow, and up into the mountains, where the revenuers never found him. Some say on a cold, moonlit night, they’ve seen his two old mules, pulling an old car frame past Camp Cedar Creek.

Site 3 - Camp Cedar Creek
We had an incredible time at David's campground! Each site is secluded and you can't see or hear any of the other campers from your site. We stayed in Site 3 and it was right on the creek (the other sites we saw are too). The creek was pretty shallow in most places and we took our camp chairs down to the water and set them up right in the middle of the creek and just enjoyed the beauty. David was a great host and met us when we arrived to show us our site. We will definitely be coming back!

Site 2 - Camp Cedar Creek
Beautiful and cleanest creek!
We camped at site #2, which was only steps away from the creek. Beautiful scenery and secluded spot. Hearing the water at night made sleeping more relaxing. The site is very spacious with a picnic table and a fire pit. Wood bundles are available per request for additional $$. Make sure you bring mosquito and tick repellent!! David is a great host and super helpful. He keeps his land clean and well kept. The creek is extremely clean, which made our trip more enjoyable. We were able to place our camping chairs in the water and sit there to enjoy the warm afternoons. We will definitely go back soon.

Site 1 - Camp Cedar Creek
Never disappoints!
This is our 4th time staying at Camp Cedar Creek and it just never disappoints. This was our first time coming during the summer and everything was lovely. David was responsive and met and greeted us when we got to the campsite. Everything was clean and beautiful. If you're doing car camping you MUST have 4 wheel drive or be able to walk in your belongings (we were at Campsite 1) as there are pretty deep mud holes and a dried up creek bed you have to drive through. Otherwise, everything was just perfect, it is a beautiful campsite and the sound of the creek make everything just great.

Site 1 - Camp Cedar Creek
Campsite 1
Site 1 was great, right on the creek. Large site with plenty of room to spread out. Campsites are a good distance apart so you're not right on top of your neighbors. Our dogs loved it too. Dave was also a great host, really nice guy.

Site 3 - Camp Cedar Creek
Water fun steps from the tent
David was a truly amazing host! The site was clean and spacious. We had 6 people and site 3 was more the enough space. We easily could have fit 3-4 more tents. The fire pit was perfect for cooking on and David provided a grate to place over the top along with a large table. We had our own walk to the creek where we happily relaxed in the water all day. The water wasn’t to high and the fresh water felt amazing on a sunny day. We will definitely be back soon!
