A dirt road hiking trail leading to your destination and a large firepit area is provided, as well as room for multiple tents. The rest is up to you. Situated on 40 acres, Liberty Ridge showcases unbeatable views of Old Rag and Mary's Rock, not to mention stunning sunset views and clear stars at night. It's the true Virginia camping experience. Located only 5 miles from Route 66 in Marshall, Virginia, Liberty Ridge is an easy drive from Washington, D.C., Charlottesville, or Richmond. Parking for 4 vehicles is available at the bottom of the hill. Be prepared to hike or drive uphill 0.75 miles to reach the campsite area, enjoying the birds, plants, and other Virginia wildlife that surrounds you. Hikes in this area are highly rated. And, with only two campsites on this property, the campsite is almost completely private to you. Take time to unplug, as there is no Wi-Fi, running water, or toilets on this property. But there is plenty of room to let your soul settle and to make some memories to last a lifetime. We had an awesome time camping on Liberty Ridge! The views were amazing and we didn’t have to drive hours to get there! We can’t wait to come back this spring!
