Property lies along the Rockfish River in Southern Albemarle County, a short drive to country stores and many public boat landings on the James River. There are no public boat landings on the Rockfish River so you are r
as likely to see a Blue Herron as another paddlers. Fishing is best in the spring when the Smallmouth spawn.Pitch your tent right next to the beautiful Rockfish River. Relax and take a swim, fantastic put-in for a leisurely float, canoe or kayak, Depending on the time of year, several family friendly rapids 3-5 hours trip to the confluence of the Rockfish and James rivers, which is only 4 miles or 8 minutes by car to the public boat landing on the James River. I can be contacted ahead of time for river conditions. Good fishing in both rivers for smallmouth bass, catfish, sunfish and many other species.
