Blue Ridge Yurts is a woman-owned company in Floyd, Virginia, started by my mother, Sharon. We were staying at Treebones, a yurt 'glampground' in Big Sur, California, and fell in love with yurts together. My mom said, "I think I could build one of these," and the company was born! She does all the woodworking, using sustainable practices, with locally-sourced wood, and her best friend Kathy does the fabric end of things. I was one of her early guinea pigs, and love my yurt property dearly <3 This 24' yurt sits on a beautiful private acreage off an end-state maintenance road, with biking and hiking trails just a 20 minute drive from the touristy town of Floyd, Virginia. There's a steam shower sauna, a fully-equipped kitchen, and a deck overlooking the mountains with a table and seating. Enjoy!

Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! The yurt is expertly crafted and stocked with everything you might need and the location is phenomenal. We absolutely loved our stay and can’t wait to be back!

First yurt experience!
The location is peaceful and serene. The architecture of the yurt is so cool and I loved the colors and quirkiness of it. Not being able to lock up made me a little uneasy at night. The loft is super cool and cozy, but the bed unfortunately hurt my back too much so I slept on the couch.

Erika, and her team were absolutely incredible to work with, more than accommodating and kind. They were phenomenal people and just genuinely cared about taking care of us, our family, and our pups. Could not recommend this location more! Everything about the yurt and the trails was absolutely perfect.
