So nice
Both Randy and his wife are excellent hosts and available when needed. Can’t speak highly enough of these people and the place was beautiful. Lots to do around there.

Your own little piece of paradise. True camping. Both times, we’ve been the only ones there. Easy drive from Portland. Enjoy!

Isla Springs
The property is natural and rustic. Lots of private tent sites - great for larger parties and still have privacy. The only drawback was the train tracks are very close, but you get use to sound rather quickly.

Gorgeous Property
The property here was outstanding. You can meander thru the 22 acres on groomed roads that weave down to the running creek. And there was not any sticker bushes to be bothered with at all, which was a bonus. My dog was in heaven and it was so nice not to have to constantly have her on leash. The sites are all very private, and the porta potty was clean. Randy met us at the gate and made sure to let us know to call if we needed anything. I will definitely be booking here again!

DIY camping, loud frequent trains
On the plus side there is a lot of privacy and it was nice to cool down in the creek in the hot weather. Randy was friendly and responsive. However, I would characterize this as “land to set up camp on” rather than campsites. Randy met me when I arrived and I followed him down some gravel and overgrown roads, he led me to a spot and said I could walk or drive around and choose a spot to camp, which I would not want to do with my low-clearance sedan. The roads twisted and turned and one could easily lose track. There were no signs. There were no clearly established campsites, just spaces that had been somewhat cleared, so I just found a spot where it looked like others had camped. There was a dirty plastic chair and that was it. The listing notes there is a train on the east side, but I didn’t know where I was since Randy led me to a spot without much description. Then I heard and saw the train, which was right next to my site. The trains were VERY loud and passed several times an hour throughout the night! This Hipcamp was very DIY, which seems to be some people’s thing given the many positive reviews, but for $50 it did not feel well developed at all, and could at least be improved by providing a map of the property to campers and more clearly creating campsites.

Isla Springs
Beautiful hidden place with tons of wildflowers, birds, and berries to pick. My hubby and I loved our spot; it was lush, private, and clean. The outhouse could use dumping but other than that, I highly recommend this small gem!
