The girlfriend and I booked this trip for a long birthday weekend, between the meaning behind whycamp, the privacy, portapotty, fire wood option(pre split/harvest what you find down), and outdoor bath, we were fairly excited. Afton was a fantastic host, who we had a few good conversations with, all while maintaining a good respect for our privacy while on her land. She has big ideas for the property and a great attitude. She also went above and beyond one night where the temperature was hitting a decent low, we got back after an excursion to find her running extension chords to our tent along with a mini heater just in case we needed it. She certainly took time to make sure we were comfortable during the stay! We had a few feline visitors which was fun, especially with how friendly they were and not too invasive of our space. We had opted for the outdoor bath as well and would recommend this for sure! The area had plenty of privacy and was well taken care of given the time of our trip had leaves everywhere. She took the time to clean the area and add some extra privacy due to the trees shedding as well which was fantastic. When the bath was ready she presented us with some tea and a song recommendation, the water was piping hot, mood lighting with torches and lanterns, with an easy way to keep it hot for a few hours of relaxing.
A very cool place to stay for "dispersed" camping, with plenty of wildlife, while keeping some amenities. We will be back.
