Description

Channel your inner explorer and navigate the same currents that John Wesley Powell and William Ashley once did by pitching a tent at one of the Green River Float-In Campsites. Most of the sites are only accessible by boat. With summertime wildflowers aplenty and some nice natural shading from the local juniper, cottonwood, and ponderosa pine trees, these campsites are prime territory for exploring the Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area in true adventuresome spirit. It's also got spectacular fishing and river-running opportunities, so don’t forget that waterproof camera—you’re going to want proof when your friends don’t believe how unbelievably cool your camping trip was.
