Beautiful location with an amazing 7 miles of hiking trails surrounding the campsite. The tent sites are beautiful and nestled in woods making them feel private and remote, a truly immersive experience. The RV loops are the opposite of that, more like a glorified parking lot with no separation between neighboring vehicles, and views, well, of other RV's. My two trips (one tenting, one an RV loop stay) were very different. If you want to RV here I'd highly recommend boon docking and veering away from the RV loops.
Make sure to check out the hiking trails - we caught on to them a little late in the game so were only able to explore a couple of miles. Need to go back, tent camp, and hike more of those trails!
Make sure to check out the Mt St. Helens visitor center. It is just across WA SR 504 from the campground. It offers information on the 1980 Mt St. Helens eruption, current conditions, views of the mountain, and a 1 mile nature walk.
