Meredith is a wonderful host. She is accomodating, hospitable and a beautiful person all round. Our stay was the break we needed for the weekend. Private spot with gorgeous views of mountains, farm life, lush green fields and the night sky that keeps you in awe. This spot is a perfect stay with close proximity to mountains tracks, coastal beaches, lakes and much more. We enjoyed camping here that it is now marked as one of our favourite places to stay. Highly recommend staying here if you’re passing by or need a nice peaceful scenic place to unwind and relax.

The property oozes with old world charm and the scenery is gorgeous. Meredith was super hospitable and was so generous with sharing her family’s land. Our kids made core memories here! They loved it. Don’t stress too much about which spot you pick; they are all lovely. (Just double check on the toilet/shower situation if that’s important to you, as this is a work in progress.)

Great Spot, peaceful open space! There were other people staying here also & yet we were so far away from each other it felt like we had this whole place to ourselves. Views are stunning from the top of the hill. Definitely coming back here again.

We had such a wonderful time. Meredith really looked after us (even providing us with marshmallows for the fire!). Such a beautiful spot on top of a hill with beautiful 360 views of the countryside. Cows surround the property (they’re fenced out so no worries about them in the night) but are such a beautiful sight to wake up to. The common room was a great place to hang out in the evening when other campers had gone to bed - we loved playing board games in here! About 15 minutes to the shops and 20 minutes to the beach this is a great spot tucked away off the highway. We couldn’t recommend it enough!

Me, my partner and our dog had a fantastic 2 nights away camping at Fame Mountain. Hosts Jon and Mei were absolutely lovely and made sure our stay was great. Provided Free fire wood, had excellent site amenities beyond most camp sites including clean modern communal bathrooms and showers with a fridge as well. We would have liked to say another hello before we left but had something come up. Look forward to next time. Thanks from Mitch and Alana.

We loved our trip to this campsite the hosts were amazing and the campsites were prefect for us. The sunsets from here are spectacular! We had our dog with us for her first camping trip and having such a pretty and quiet place to stay made her introduction to it really nice. The amenities were top notch too having showers and flushing toilets made it feel more like glamping than camping.

We loved this spot perched on the creek bank. Nice, clean and quiet with easy access for our caravan and only a short 5 minute drive from Harrington. Lovely to simply sit and relax and watch the sunset and wildlife. Thanks Jaimie and Greg you were wonderful hosts. We would definitely come back.

I had the most tranquil night in my small off road caravan. Just pulled up in the house paddock, had a ride on my bike, brought honey from the neighbours and enjoyed the sunset. Saw Black Cockatoos flying overhead. Thanks Meredith for sharing your serenity!

A wonderful camping weekend. Very easy check in, good directions, and Mei and Jon were incredibly helpful for the whole time. The view is spectacular and the amenities are excellent. It's always nice to have access to hot showers and toilets.

Fame Mountain Camp - pets welcome

We are a farm forestry property located in the middle of the north shore of Port Stephens. Two hours north of Hornsby. 1 hour north of Newcastle. 2 mins to Pindimar beach, 9 minutes to Coles and bottle shop, 11 minutes to surf beach, 12 minutes to Jimmy's Beach. Pets are welcome, but please pick up after them. Free firewood - Help yourself to what you need. The logs will need to be split as required. An axe and a wheelbarrow are supplied and are stored, in the firewood storage shed. - Every site has a fire pit. Hot showers and clean, decent toilets. Good mobile signal for Telstra and Optus networks. Two Communal Fridges and a cold communal spa. There is lots of space for campers so you will have privacy whilst you enjoy your camping adventure. We are located on a dead end road, so very rare to have any traffic after 8pm. Good fishing. Pretty much everywhere you can wet a line. Prawns are best bait. If your dog is on the government list of restricted breeds or on the dangerous dog list please leave at home We have a gentle, well trained old German Shepherd who adores kids but after being bitten by another dog, now prefers to stay inside the house and not visit the camp sites. PLEASE NOTE: 1) We ONLY ALLOW ONE camper trailer or ONE caravan per site. No limit on number of tents. 2) IF You Have more than 3 vehicles/site please contact host before booking. 3) Depending on the weather on the day, we may have to limit the number of vehicles that can be parked adjacent to your campsite. 4) NO late night check in . If you are a group larger than two people the check in time is between midday and sunset. Do not arrive after sunset. The reason being if you are a large group turning up late, you will ruin the camping experience of other campers who got there earlier to watch the sunset and just chill. Furthermore, the sunsets are one of the reasons people come here. Every single day it is totally different. If you arrive late you have missed it.... 5) As the business name suggests (mountain) our property is on a slope. We do have several flat areas for tents , hybrids, camper vans and small caravans. And we have 6 levelling blocks scattered across the sites. Dead flat is a concrete slab at any caravan park anywhere but here.

They can feed the goats, sheep, ducks, pigs, chooks, turkeys, and guinea pigs! They can meet Brownie the horse, help care for the baby chicks, and hunt for chook eggs! They can feed the baby ducks and turkeys and socialize with the geese! We have various equipment you can hire, including golf clubs, bbq, chairs and tables, and push bikes. For the family we can organize coits (a traditional Aussie hoop game) and a True Blue Aussie damper or doughboys for you to cook in the fire (all you need to bring is some flour).
