We are a 90acre private property who raise cattle and goats and have opened up to campers who, like us, prefer and love, peace and nature. We have all of our sites on Booking request ( Reserve). Axe throwing has recently become popular within the city, if you must try it on the property , bring a board, our trees are not to be used as targets. Stay out of our gated paddocks. This is for Biosecurity and your safety. If you are first time campers on our property, this is our philosophy. We are trying to create peace and tranquility that people crave so much when they get out of their busy lives. We are not the place for rowdy parties or large groups ( unless you would like to book out the entire property) Most of our sites are nestled on different levels between trees and bush so you will feel like you are the only ones there. You are welcome to have a campfire in the provided fire pit or drum when there is no fire ban in place, however due to the unique surroundings we offer, we do require you to be extra vigilant with fire safety. You are most welcome to use your own off the ground firepit anywhere in your site. Please read site descriptions carefully as we have sites that are substantially different in access, privacy , level ground and distance to a toilet. We affectionately call our property "The Rustic Resort". This is a tribute to the rusty water tanks and dilapidated animal shelters that were left behind when we moved in. Our farm was once part of a thriving rural property in the 1920's. It used to be a dairy farm and then a banana farm. We now raise goats and cattle. Our property is dog friendly to responsible dog owners, we are happy for your pups to be off lead as long as you are the one in control. We have a large farm dam that never runs dry, (NO fishing please as we use this for livestock and swimming, and the last thing we need is hooks in peoples or animals feet. ) It is wonderful for a refreshing swim, there is a ladder to make it easier to get into the dam and during the summer months there are floating noodles for your use. Feel free to bring your paddle boards and canoes. We are centrally located to explore the Glass house mountains ( 20mins), Stoney creek (15min), Rocky holes (35min), Bribie island (40 min), Woodford (10min), Mt Mee (10min), Montville, Maleny (40min) and much, much more. We are 10 minutes from Woodford and the wonderful Woodford Folk Festival. "White Ridge Farm" in Elimbah is only 20 minutes from us, and the kids will love the interactive farm experience and cuddling the baby animals. Wamuran town centre has has an IGA, a wonderful butcher, bakery, bottle shop, 24 hour servo, a rural supply shop, fish and chip shop, a new pizza place and a Thai/Indian take away that is sensational. Wamuran holds a local country market every 4th Saturday per month from 7am to midday. There is a Woodfire pizza van in town 2 out of 4 weekends, look up Deadwood Pizza Wamuran to check the dates. We love them. If you would like to stay longer but feel like you need a shower occasionally, there is a public pool in Woodford and a public pool on King Street towards Caboolture , both are about a 10/15 minute drive from us. Wamuran is less than an hour north from the city, yet you will feel like you are far away. Hunchy Hills 4WD Bush Camping

Formally a banana & pineapple plantation, Hunchy Hills is strictly 4WD only access property. We offer two types of camping; bush sites and a Camping Pod. There is a toilet and gas hot shower included. If you have a camper trailer it needs to be off-road/high clearance and you need to be experienced in towing off road. We cannot accept caravans/hybrids of any size or type. Sites 1-3 are large level pads approx. 12M by 12M, each with their own fire pit (please do not damage or move the bricks) and log seat. Site 4 is perched on the side of the hill and 6M by 6M in size. Suitable for vehicle based campers/swags/small tents with a sense of adventure and best with max 2 people. We have a backup spot too if access is too difficult. Pets (on leash) are welcome, please ensure you pick up after them. Number of guests for bookings is for total adults (16 and over). Kids (15 and under) are free and are not counted in the maximum number of guests. Firewood is sold at the check-in via an honesty box. $20 per bag (22kgs approx.) or add on to your booking for $22ea. Travel down the gravel road for about half a km and pop out through a tree tunnel to a secluded 2 acre cleared grassy paddock where the toilet & sites 1-3 are situated. Site 4 is on top of a small hill separate to the main camping area. The Pod is in its own cleared paddock, looking out to bush. Site 1 is in shade in winter and partial sun in summer. A seasonal creek runs through the property. We are located 3 minutes from Montville and 7 min to Palmwoods. There's plenty to explore in the area with short drives to the many attractions including National Parks, Glass House Mountains, the famous Rick's Garage Diner, wineries, micro breweries and more. Go fishing at Baroon Pocket Dam and have a swim at Obi Obi Creek or Kondalilla. If you're after some saltwater it's a 30 min drive to most beaches on the coast.

All UPDATES/NOTES listed below are in answer to common questions we are asked - please read all before requesting a booking, especially the need to confirm your 4WD status and camping platform at time of booking request. Our property is 4WD access. You are risking your booking and vehicle if you turn up in a 2WD or family SUV. See Extras for booking park and ride option if your vehicle is 2WD. UPDATE as at 5 August 2024: Some of our tracks are rutted and may become slippery in wet weather. We do basic maintenance to keep access open for 4WDS. Kobble Creek West is readily accessible from several locations on our property boundary. Ideal for creek exploring and rock hopping. There’s even a small lagoon now awaiting you. At this time (August 2024) the creek is dry and the lagoon is empty. Without further rains it will remain generally dry but will flow eventually with heavy downpours in the D’aguilar Ranges. Explore the trails by bike, or check out the hiking trails on our property (there are hike options suitable to your preferred difficulty). Bring your machete for an even greater hiking experience! You can relax by or in the spring fed dam, explore seasonal Kobble Creek West which borders the property, feed the chickens or goats, spot the abundant bird life, or sit patiently and a deer or fox may appear at dusk. Enjoy the evenings sitting around the campfire as you gaze at the stars. All sites have sufficient spacing from other sites to ensure acceptable privacy. You are welcome to enjoy our off-grid camping with the expectation that facilities are minimal. NOTE: Surcharges exist for a number of circumstances, including day visitors and single-night bookings. These can be found in the Extras and must be added at the time of booking for your request to be accepted. NOTE: Please also indicate that you are 4WD and your camping platform and size as you book. This enables us to site you appropriately. NOTE: Each site has a stand alone camping toilet bucket, located behind a small shade cloth screen near your camp site. Hilltop Farm, Crows Nest

We have several peaceful campsites available on our 175-acre property - some with beautiful escarpment views, and some amongst the peaceful surrounds of the bush. We are 10km from the town of Crows Nest on the Great Dividing Range. 50 minutes from Toowoomba and 2 hours from Brisbane. The hill on the property (Flat Top) is one of the highest points in the area at 700m altitude. From the hilltop, you can enjoy 360-degree views of the surrounding area, with views across the Esk Valley towards the Sunshine Coast, sunsets over the hills surrounding Crows Nest, and even glimpses of Cressbrook Dam. There are 3 separate campsites on the hilltop. We also have secluded bush campsites down in the paddocks, these are private and peaceful with no other campers within sight. They are all situated to be able to enjoy the sunset. We feel very spoilt living here in this beautiful place and would love for others to share it. It is extremely quiet and peaceful, yet less than a 15-minute drive to Crows Nest. There is plenty to explore in the area, including: 🏞 Crows Nest Falls National Park (good for a swim) 🐃 Bullocky's Rest and creekside walk in Crows Nest (dog friendly) 🌳 Ravensbourne National Park (rainforest) 🏚 Crows Nest Museum 🎣 Cressbrook and Perseverance Dams 🚂 Muntapa Railway Tunnel towards Cooyar ☕️ French patisserie and other cafes in Crows Nest. 🛍 Antique and boutique shops 📚 Second-hand book store 👩‍🌾 Also markets in Crows Nest on the first Sunday of each month. The property is traversed by a number of rain forested creeks and ravines which are perfect for adventure hiking and rock climbing. We can also take you horse riding around the farm for a couple of hours or to the local winery if you prefer longer ride. We cater for all levels of riding. We have many panoramic campsites for you to choose from. These are suited to any one with the swag, tent, camper, caravan or motorhome. You need to be self sufficient. For those liking the comforts of home we have a bunkhouse which sleeps 10 and has electricity, water, flush toilet, shower, stove, microwave and TV. Linen is not supplied. If you are driving 2wd, or 4wd towing a caravan or a big trailer and GPS takes you through Mountain View rd., do not go that way, go through Dayboro rd. For those without transport Dakabin train station is 25 min from the farm. Pick up and drop off to the station can be arranged. There is a wide variety of shops and restaurants less than 10 min away.

Sunrises are spectacular while sunsets by open campfire are also a highlight of the Riverdell experience. Take a short walk up the creek, west of The Junction carpark above the camp site to see some scenic rockpools and waterfalls in the cool of the rainforest canopy. There is plenty to do and see in the area including exploring nearby Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve, Gardeners Falls, Kondalilla National Park, Australia Zoo, indulge in a tasting at the Barrel at Clouds Vineyard opposite the front gate, stroll through Maleny Botanic Gardens & Bird World or take a short drive to some of Australia’s most beautiful beaches. Access during daylight hours via 4WD ONLY with AT or MT off-road Tyres, RT Tyres are not permitted due to the steepness of the tracks. Off-road camper trailers are suitable for some campsites (max weight 1500kg and max length 5m restrictions apply). Caravans are not permitted due to the steep terrain. A Portaloo is within walking distance to The Knoll, Upper Plateau, Valley View and Little Bunya campsites, otherwise your camp MUST be self-contained. Somerset Dam is 40minutes away and you are able to use your own motorised equipment there. PLEASE if booking individually but you intend to join a larger group please message me on hipcamp after you have booked telling me the names of people you would like to camp with so I can allocate a space large enough to fit you all. Also please note we have 24 sites only, however some of these sites can easily fit 40 people therefore on Hipcamp it can show lots of availability when in fact that may not be the case. We are more expensive per person than other camp sites. Please note this includes hipcamp fees and charges and you are covered by hipcamp insurance. We don’t charge for pets, nor do we charge to use our 6 onsite canoes, nor do we charge extra for hot showers or rubbish removal, we have guest wifi. Our 1km private driveway is rough but if driven to conditions a 2wd has no issues.. Most of the time space is abundant however if choosing to come on a long weekend, Easter or New Years expect it to be a lot busier than your average weekend with larger groups camping together, however still plenty of space between groups. You won’t ever have to trip over your neighbours tent ropes here. Eco friendly lakefront and near to lake front sites. Please don’t arrive expecting lakefront, our sites are all near to and Depending on group size not everyone will have lake frontage. We can never guarantee requests. We assign sites based on numbers and camping equipment. Furtherest camp spot is approximately 500m from amenities block, however porta loos are located in the remote site but it’s a walk or drive back to the showers. Flushing toilets and 2 hot showers available in main area. Please note: toilet cartridges are not to be emptied into our toilets. Take it home or dispose at dump point at Woodford Showgrounds We provide unpowered Bush camping, and we try to keep the camp sites as natural as possible, no flat pads. There is lots of space for the kids to run or take the dog for a walk on the lead. If you are organising a celebration (eg wedding/birthday) please send an enquiry first so we can discuss your needs. Please note if you’re wanting a function the price is $5500 which gives you sole use of the property up to 70 campers for 2 nights. (We live onsite) please also note we abide by noise restrictions and we do not allow amplified music and noise needs to be kept to a minimum after 10pm. We will allow up to 120 people onsite cost $7500. These prices include early entry Friday from 10am and late departure Sunday by 4pm. Extra accommodation available at extra cost. There is plenty of water for swimming and kayaking.All vehicle access. Entry from 12.00pm, Early arrivals incur a fee of $5per person includes Children and providing there is space available. We have a great supply of locally sourced firewood, $20 per bag 20kg-25kg and we strongly discourage wood brought on from other areas due to biosecurity concerns. We have firepits at all campsites and adhere to any fire restrictions. We do not supply BBQ’s please bring your own. Please come to our reception building on the way in, as we need to check everybody in, visitors to your camp site need to sign in and pay a day fee. We are then able to answer any questions you may have and further cement our rules. Day visitors to your campsite will incur a $10 per person fee and is time restrictive. All UPDATES/NOTES listed below are in answer to common questions we are asked - please read all before requesting a booking, especially the need to confirm your 4WD status and camping platform at time of booking request. Our property is 4WD access. You are risking your booking and vehicle if you turn up in a 2WD or family SUV. See Extras for booking park and ride option if your vehicle is 2WD. UPDATE as at 5 August 2024: Some of our tracks are rutted and may become slippery in wet weather. We do basic maintenance to keep access open for 4WDS. Kobble Creek West is readily accessible from several locations on our property boundary. Ideal for creek exploring and rock hopping. There’s even a small lagoon now awaiting you. At this time (August 2024) the creek is dry and the lagoon is empty. Without further rains it will remain generally dry but will flow eventually with heavy downpours in the D’aguilar Ranges. Explore the trails by bike, or check out the hiking trails on our property (there are hike options suitable to your preferred difficulty). Bring your machete for an even greater hiking experience! You can relax by or in the spring fed dam, explore seasonal Kobble Creek West which borders the property, feed the chickens or goats, spot the abundant bird life, or sit patiently and a deer or fox may appear at dusk. Enjoy the evenings sitting around the campfire as you gaze at the stars. All sites have sufficient spacing from other sites to ensure acceptable privacy. You are welcome to enjoy our off-grid camping with the expectation that facilities are minimal. NOTE: Surcharges exist for a number of circumstances, including day visitors and single-night bookings. These can be found in the Extras and must be added at the time of booking for your request to be accepted. NOTE: Please also indicate that you are 4WD and your camping platform and size as you book. This enables us to site you appropriately. NOTE: Each site has a stand alone camping toilet bucket, located behind a small shade cloth screen near your camp site. You’ll have a seat to sit on, a lid to close, and the need to throw some Leaves and grass in each time you go.

Hilltop Farm, Crows Nest

We have several peaceful campsites available on our 175-acre property - some with beautiful escarpment views, and some amongst the peaceful surrounds of the bush. We are 10km from the town of Crows Nest on the Great Dividing Range. 50 minutes from Toowoomba and 2 hours from Brisbane. The hill on the property (Flat Top) is one of the highest points in the area at 700m altitude. From the hilltop, you can enjoy 360-degree views of the surrounding area, with views across the Esk Valley towards the Sunshine Coast, sunsets over the hills surrounding Crows Nest, and even glimpses of Cressbrook Dam. There are 3 separate campsites on the hilltop. We also have secluded bush campsites down in the paddocks, these are private and peaceful with no other campers within sight. They are all situated to be able to enjoy the sunset. We feel very spoilt living here in this beautiful place and would love for others to share it. It is extremely quiet and peaceful, yet less than a 15-minute drive to Crows Nest. There is plenty to explore in the area, including: 🏞 Crows Nest Falls National Park (good for a swim) 🐃 Bullocky's Rest and creekside walk in Crows Nest (dog friendly) 🌳 Ravensbourne National Park (rainforest) 🏚 Crows Nest Museum 🎣 Cressbrook and Perseverance Dams 🚂 Muntapa Railway Tunnel towards Cooyar ☕️ French patisserie and other cafes in Crows Nest. 🛍 Antique and boutique shops 📚 Second-hand book store 👩‍🌾 Also markets in Crows Nest on the first Sunday of each month. Further along the New England Highway, Toowoomba is host to the annual Carnival of Flowers in Spring. Pims Mountain Retreat

We are located in the middle of the Glass House Mountains with wonderful views of Mt Coonowrin. It is a great spot for scenic photography, a base to explore the many hikes and climbs from in the surrounding National Parks. This site is located in the middle of the Glass House Mountains with wonderful views of Mt Coonowrin. Note: This site does not have any toilet or shower facilities so you will need to be a self-contained camper and bring your own. You can bring your own firewood from local service stations or other sources to be used in the firepit. Bring your hiking gear, your mountain bike and definitely bring your camera as the views are stellar. The craggy peaks of the Glass House Mountains tower above the surrounding landscape. They are so significant that they are listed on the Queensland and National Heritage Register as a landscape of national significance. Walking tracks lead through a variety of open forests to lookouts with panoramic views of the mountains. Some tracks are suitable for all levels of fitness and others include more challenging grades including rock scrambling skills. There are other challenging summit routes and climbing sites for experienced rockclimbers and abseilers. Or you might want to pull up a hammock and just laze the day away.

Bush walking tracks. 2 kayaks and red claw pots available for guests to use in Somerset Dam at the front of the property. Plenty of friendly wildlife including birds, wedgetail eagles, kangaroos, wallabies, koalas, goannas, bandicoots, betongs, dingos and red deer. One part of the gravel driveway is steep, so a vehicle with some clearance is advised. All campers need to be self sufficient with toilet and shower. Dump point in nearby town. Fire pit available and DIY foraged fire wood available, or order for a fee in advance.

The terrain is quite hilly, although the camping area is relatively flat. Local activities include mountain biking, hiking, dirt biking, 4wding, fishing/boating (40 mins), sightseeing around the Toowoomba/Crows Nest/Esk area.
