The Glass House Mountains are found in the hinterland of Queensland's Sunshine Coast. They are about a one-hour drive south of the Sunshine Coast's main hub, Noosa, or an hour north of the state's capital city, Brisbane.
The region is a natural playground of walking tracks, horse trails and abseiling locations, the mountains are also home to six small townships, linked by rail and country roads.
Please note there is highway noise at this site.
The campsite offers a charming rustic experience with its picturesque views, friendly horses, and a welcoming host named Michael. Many visitors appreciated the serene setting by the lake or river, and the presence of animals like horses, cows, and a friendly dog added to the charm. However, some campers noted issues with the toilet facilities and occasional highway noise. A few reviewers mentioned a less than ideal experience due to difficulty in finding the site and some cleanliness concerns.
We had a very relaxing time at Michaels site! There were lots of cows and horses to see and his dog Sam is the cutest. :) It is a wonderful plot of land and would highly recommend staying!
Great Spot by the lake, Cows and Horses roaming around and keeping us company. Michael was a good host too, asked we follow a few simple rules and left us to ourselves the rest of the time. Definitely would come back!
