    A beautiful piece of remnant forest on the bank of the Nerang River, with a swimming hole that is second to none. The tree tent is situated in a small forest clearing overlooking the river rapids. The site has a compact outdoor kitchen complete with refrigerator, an outdoor hot shower, a firepit and a separate composting toilet. Sails are rigged above the tent to provide extra shade and shelter. It's private and shady but only a few minutes from the house. The valley is a gem, only 200 odd people live here. If you love the outdoors - either just to chill or to actively recreate - this place is for you. As an outdoor educator, I have worked and played in the valley and surrounds for more than 25 years and I'm still discovering new things to see and do! Advancetown Lake is a short drive away with paddling, sailing and fishing and no power boats or jetskis (Yeeha!!) There is a mountain bike park on the E side of the dam. You can walk from here to Springbrook and Lamington National Parks and the glow worms at Natural Bridge are a night time "must see".

    2023 HIPCAMP RUNNER- UP FOR BEST CABIN RENTAL IN AUSTRALIA We have converted a container into a tiny home overlooking our gardens. Relax and unwind by the outdoor fireplace by night while you enjoy the sunset views over the hills. We are close to shops, restaurants, cafes, beaches, creeks and parks. It is only a short drive to Pottsville town. There is plenty to see and do in the Northern Rivers. Please don’t hesitate to ask if you would like some recommendations. The container has been converted into a tiny livable space with sustainability and simplicity in mind. Features include a compost toilet, hot shower, air conditioner, toaster, stovetop kettle, fridge, daybed, queen size main bed (towels and linen are an added extra), small deck with an outdoor kitchen and bbq area. You may like to meet our pet goats or if visiting a farm is what you’re into we can recommend some great local farm tours within a 20 minute drive from here. Spa treatments, yoga, bushwalking and water activities are all close by. If you’re looking to experience the rural setting with the convenience of beaches and shops being close by then this is the place for you. This is a unique area in Pottsville and we look forward to hosting. 25 minutes to Gold Coast airport. 30minutes to Byron Bay. We will also plant one tree per booking. Your privacy is important to us! The glass doors are tinted and reflective, plus curtains are available for more privacy. The main house is a little over 50m from the tiny home.     Jerrapark is just far enough away from towns and cities to feel remote and wild. Some guests have remarked half joking that as they enter the property it feels a bit more like Jurassic Park. A section of the farm has been preserved as rainforest…where towering palms and ghost like eucalypts stand over boulder strewn creeks that sometimes flood with roaring force. Everywhere there are wallabies, goannas and the weather sentinels…the black cockatoos. Bird lovers will find it is an excellent place to go birdwatching. Take a stroll through the verdant pecan forest where our horses graze…sit by the bubbling creek…and if you are very quiet you just might glimpse a platypus foraging. When the weather turns hot and steamy take a splash in one of the dams or wander down and sit under the waterfall that cascades most months of the year.     As long as you are okay having naked people ( which is what it’s about ) it’s a good spot, good shower, toilets , peaceful and the guys are super friendly and helpful. Can’t comment on swimming hole as was just after cyclone so bit muddy but imagine normal times we good ,. Nice walks on the property

    The red cabin was exactly what we were looking for. So peaceful and beautiful. A stunning spot amongst nature. Not a car to be heard. We especially loved the outdoor bathroom and kitchen. Cooking right next to a crystal steam was fantastic. The bath was divine. The perfect size for two of us to relax with a bottle of champagne amd enjoy the view.     A modest set-up in the hills with choice of a provided caravan, your own small campervan, or tent. Gas hot shower shack with adjacent compost toilet provided in the paddock with a view. Neighbours have pigs and cows, and we have loads of wallabies and birds. There is access to 2 lovely forested walks down to a little creek where you'll find a shady picnic spot to rest and wet your feet. Feel free to pick from the circular communal veggie garden adjacent to the shower. 1.2km down the road is a great shady swimming hole on the large Tuntable Creek, also a great picnic spot and area to explore. There is also a dam here which dogs can swim in close to camping. We are only 5 mins from The Channon Tavern and General Store, with many nearby swimming holes, bush walks, and the infamous Protestors Falls on Terania Ck Rd. Eclectic Nimbin is only 15 mins up a scenic winding road, and Lismore is 25 mins away for all your larger shopping needs. The popular Channon Craft Markets is on every 2nd Sunday of the month.

Positioned on a hill above Christmas Creek to take in the views, were you can watch the sun rise over Little Widgee Mountain and the sun set over the mountains to the west. This fully contained cabin is approximately 30 square metres and features a small veranda out the front facing Little Widgee Mountain and Buchanans Fort. Sit back and relax on the bench seat or table and chairs. A larger veranda out the back faces Christmas Creek and the mountains to the west. Relax on the deck chairs and read a book, or sit at the bar and enjoy a drink while watching the wildlife.
