The campsite is nestled amongst beautiful old gums and pine with sweeping views of the valley in front and a gorgeous range out the back. Plenty of Shade and places to explore. Dogs on Lead only. Host approval required at booking. Pit toilet available, BYO toilet paper. Bin provided for waste. Please use this or take it home with you. There are livestock on the property, please do not approach livestock unless Host is with you. Just a short drive of 30 minutes to the town of Burra you can enjoy the Passport Key and see the rich heritage of the copper mining era. Jamestown is 25 minutes drive where you can explore the bundaleer forest or see the tesla battery.

    We had a great time over Easter with our booking at Hillside Camp. We all had a great time even though the weather was challenging at times we didn’t let it upset our trip. Pete and Trish are awesome hosts and always go above and beyond to ensure your stay is great. They are great communicating throughout the pre trip preparation and also while there. The campsite is well prepared for you and the drop toilets are clean and always well kept and stocked with toilet paper. Can’t wait to go back and enjoy another stay. Also got to see another beautiful sunset at the sunset bar in the hill. Thanks Pete and Trish.

    We had a large group with multiple vans, tents and campers. It was perfect. The location is spectacular and the hosts are just lovely. You need to be self sufficient but the long drop toilet is very well maintained. Highly recommend this place.

    We didn’t get to spend the night as the weather wasn’t playing along and our camp setup is not fully equipped to handle rain and wind but the space itself is absolutely amazing. Trish was super friendly and very accommodating and we will definitely be back to spend our night there one day.

    We parked our 19 foot van at the little creek site for 2 nights and it was fantastic. The drop toilet was clean and very handy. The sites are huge and the privacy and seclusion is great. I can’t speak highly enough of Trish and Peter, very welcoming and will do everything they can to make your stay a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back and encourage everyone to visit Edgehill Farmstays.

    FIRE BAN SEASON ENDS APRIL 2025 COMFORT FIRES ONLY!! Edgehill Farm Stays is located between Barossa and Clare Valley, 7km out of Riverton, and 1 hour north of Adelaide. We run a sheep and cropping farm which creates beautiful camping grounds at the foot of the hills, just below the Heysen Trail. The campsites are located on the pasture paddocks of the farm with sheep roaming the area, so dogs on leashes at all times, and please pick up after them. With large distances between other campers, each site can cater for large groups, with no close neighbours. The sites are at least 2km away from busy roads, so absolute peace and privacy! There's a beautiful push bike ride from Riverton to Clare Valley and all the wineries are along the way. Plenty of room at the property for kids to ride their push bikes. Fantastic sunsets and sunrises from all sites, and at its best at the SUNSET BAA. Beautiful bird noises, including the kookaburras having a laugh. There's a very very basic "long drop toilet" pit toilet located near the Gumtree paddock and 5 others shared, down close to the camping paddocks, if not wanting to use shared toilets, please bring and supply your own portable toilet. Great coffee, cafe, and pub meals are available in Riverton. IGA food store is open 7 days a week. Tarlee Hotel has the best meals as well. Important Information to know before All campers must check in BEFORE 8pm. If you are unable to arrive before 8pm, please make a booking for the following day instead. Generators are allowed on the unpowered sites, please respect other campers with turning them off by 10 pm at the latest. No chainsaws on property. Loud music not permitted, please turn silent by 10 pm. Pets are allowed, as long as they are on leashes at all times STRICTLY NO MOTORBIKES RIDDEN ON PROPERTY No rally driving. If you have day visitors joining you during your stay, please go to the extras section and add the numbers to the booking We also operate another Hipcamp called BURRA CREEK CAMPING situated 25km North of Robertstown, ideal for mostly 4WD and off road campers.     NO MOTOR BIKES ON PROPERTY PLEASE!!! Burra Creek Camping in Bright is an incredibly beautiful, rustic 5000-acre property, situated 25km North of Robertstown, just over 2 hours from Adelaide. It's suited to those with 4x4 or higher clearance vehicles, and off-road campers/caravans and tents. The camping sites here are very private, and provide large flat areas to set up. All have beautiful surroundings and views. The land here is spectacular. From morning light accompanied by birdsong, to days spent exploring the creek and the bush, to stargazing and toasting marshmallows by night, the land here offers the perfect antidote to modern-day stresses. There is (wonderfully) limited phone service here, meaning it's the perfect place for a digital detox! Two of our campsites have very basic outback long drop toilets (Wombat Flat and Creek Site), but for all other sites, campers need to be fully self-contained. It's you and nature. Therefore we ask that you please ensure the place is left as or better than you found it. All rubbish and waste to be taken with you. Important Information to know before booking: Check-in must be before 8pm. If you are unable to arrive before 8pm, please book for the following day instead. Plenty of fallen timber around you are welcome to collect for firewood, however, strictly no chainsaws or cutting down of trees. For your own comfort, you could take your first day of wood, so you’re ready to have a fire once all set up. And strictly no motorbikes, firearms, or rally driving on the property.
