As we are a fully self contained campground we do not provide power, toilets or showers. You'll need to have your own amenities and discard of any rubbish . Bicheno Pine Ridge

Pine Ridge has been developed over the years to be a natural park land with a good variety of local vegetation including stands of mature trees. lower scrub has been removed for physical and viewing access and to keep the property more secure and manageable. The vegetation also provides significant protection on windy days compared to many other open places. Native animals and birdlife abound the location. There is a community pergola area beside the substantial water hole which has a small jetty allowing easy access for swimming. There is also a stone barbecue and fire pit area available on suitable weather conditions. There are ocean views from the property's main road areas, which also provide a large area of flat firm ground with large areas providing easy maneuverability and turning. The property is 2-3km from the main highway turn off that leads to the Douglas Apsley National Park. The corner of the property is only 50 meters from the park edge, with the Parks main access several km further along Rosedale Rd. The turn off is only 2 km from the town edge. It is sealed road except for the last 100meters and in good condition. FIRES. Ok unless a fire ban. GOOD BAGS OF WOOD ON SITE FOR $20. THERE IS GROUND WOOD THAT CAN BE USED AFTER A BAG IS PURCHASED. IF YOU BRING YOUR OWN WOOD THERE IS A CHARGE OF $10 BECAUSE I STILL HAVE TO CLEAN UP AFTER. Clarity. A site may be able to accommodate several camping vehicles in a group. WildWing Retreat

WildWing Retreat is a beautiful 25 acre bush block, located within a 15 minute (1km) walk, to the local surf beach of Four Mile. The property has been created to host retreats centred around nature immersion, movement and connection (i.e yoga, acroyoga, dance, meditation, mindfuness, embodiment practices etc) and in the 'off season' it's available to host hipcampers! Because the space has been designed to host large groups, there are a bunch of facilities available to use, such as compost toilets, a communal kitchen with fresh running water, solar lights and gas cooker, an undercover deck area, hot showers, and a cedar barrel hot tub (refer to the extras section for hot tub use!). We also have a small stream on the property, with a little waterhole for plunging in and are surrounded by native wildlife. The property blooms with native Kunzea bushes, wattles, native cherries and various varieties of eucalyptus. WildWing is also our home, so we have our own set up, on a different section of the property. This means that we are nearby if needed, but that we all have our own space on the property :). There is a beautiful large fresh water river and waterhole just down the road (15 minute walk, or 2 minute drive), and aside from the surf beach down the front, we are also only a 10-15 minute drive from a bunch of other beautiful and popular surf beaches on the east coast. The whole area is great for fishing, boating, surfing, bike riding, walking and short hikes. We are a 10 minute drive from Falmouth, a 25 minute drive from the St Helens mountain bike trails, a 30 minute drive from Bicheno & Douglas Apsley National Park, a 45 minute drive from the infamous Bay of Fires and an hours drive from the Freycinet National Park. We are passionate about outdoor living and supporting the natural environment and have created WildWing with the intention to support others to have unique and beautiful experiences in nature, while caring for the land they inhabit.

You can simply walk 30 metres and take your chairs and esky and spend the day marveling at the views and bird life, or even grab the kayak and paddleboard for some healthy fun . Pelican Bay is a saltwater tidal lagoon, it's very shallow water for a long way, then gets deep a fair way out. The water is too shallow for Boats , but there is a boat ramp nearby. Wineglass Bay is just up the road in Freycinet National Park.We only welcome guests over the age of 50 who have a fully self-contained vehicle. There are no amenities as yet so you must BYO everything you need and leave no footprint. Thank you.

Craigie Knowe Vineyard is a working vineyard and cellar door, set on 20 hectares, with 5 hectares under vine. It is the oldest vineyard on the beautiful East Coast of Tasmania. The homestead was built in 1836 and is one of the most photographed houses in Tasmania The cellar door is open 11-4, and offers chocolate and wine pairings, and normal tastings. We also have a restaurant on site open from 11:30 - 3:00 daily during summer. It is a beautiful vineyard with plenty of outside seating. There are also 5 other cellar doors within 10 minutes of the property, so it's a great basecamp for wine lovers! We offer a Big Breakfast Thursday through to Monday. Needs to be booked on arrival. We have plenty of level ground, ideal for pulling up for a night or several. Please note, all campers must be self-contained, with their own toilet, and we kindly ask you take all waste with you. Just outside the property, the Swan River flows past, a great place to cool off on hot days, sometimes there are fish there too. Swansea is 16km away and Bicheno is 26km away. Both towns have IGA supermarkets, bottle shops and restaurants, and plenty of history. Freycinet National Park is 40 minutes, and makes for a great day trip, with beautiful walks, fantastic scenery, and of course iconic Wine Glass Bay.

THIS IS A WORKING FARM WITH MANY FREE ROAMING ANIMALS! Check in after 9am you get a whole day BEFORE you camp for the night and check out by 3pm this way you get another day here and plenty of daylight to get to your next place. This place has river flats surrounded by wilderness and is the first private property on the river, so therefor the LAST property at the end of the road before the road goes into Forestry tracks. Many would consider this place to be very remote.....to us it is close to the City only 50 minutes away over the Mountain gravel roads. If you want to travel on mostly sealed roads go through Fingal and PAST Mathinna. Check maps before you leave as NO reception out here. It is 40 acres and we have MANY MANY free roaming animals, milking goats, ducks, chickens, cows, 3 BIG dogs and a pet pig who loves a belly rub. (The dogs will get out of the way of cars so just drive ahead and the dogs will move out of your way they have big barks but they are friendly) PLEASE NOTE: If you have any issues with dogs let us know in ADVANCE and we can lock them in their yard for your stay. EVERYONE is told upon arrival to honk/toot your horn if you have any issues or need help and one of us will come and help if you let us know! Otherwise we leave people in peace to camp as they wish and where they want. The property has a big guest house that is currently empty, this is where the flushing toilet is for you to use whilst camping if you like. This Rustic country house is also available for hire/rent, there is hot water via a woodfire (takes up to 5 hours to heat up water $50 per wheelbarrow load of wood) with Big triangle bath and a shower for use if you book the house, (3 single beds and a few new double bed air mattresses are available for your less rugged campers who want to come but need that extra comfort or to be close to a toilet at $40 per person per night.) You are welcome to come camping anytime with a range of needs catered to. Sorry no wheelchair ramps, a single step into the house and one step into the toilet too. Pick whatever spot you like to camp upon, by the river, the rocky island in the river, in the bush, just on the paddock grass anywhere. The big house is for you to use the toilet, kitchen sink and feel free to have a cold shower if you want. You can wander on the property connect with us and if you like you can help feed the animals. We are very happy to host people who love nature and enjoy organic farm life. There is NO wifi or mobile phone reception ZERO, so you can finally enjoy total tranquility. (there is a landline telephone in the big house so you can make a call if you need to, it is a private number)

Pine Ridge has been developed over the years to be a natural park land with a good variety of local vegetation including stands of mature trees. lower scrub has been removed for physical and viewing access and to keep the property more secure and manageable. The vegetation also provides significant protection on windy days compared to many other open places. Native animals and birdlife abound the location. There is a community pergola area beside the substantial water hole which has a small jetty allowing easy access for swimming. There is also a stone barbecue and fire pit area available on suitable weather conditions. There are ocean views from the property's main road areas, which also provide a large area of flat firm ground with large areas providing easy maneuverability and turning. The property is 2-3km from the main highway turn off that leads to the Douglas Apsley National Park. The corner of the property is only 50 meters from the park edge, with the Parks main access several km further along Rosedale Rd. The turn off is only 2 km from the town edge. Craigie Knowe Vineyard

Craigie Knowe Vineyard is a working vineyard and cellar door, set on 20 hectares, with 5 hectares under vine. It is the oldest vineyard on the beautiful East Coast of Tasmania. The homestead was built in 1836 and is one of the most photographed houses in Tasmania The cellar door is open 11-4, and offers chocolate and wine pairings, and normal tastings. We also have a restaurant on site open from 11:30 - 3:00 daily during summer. It is a beautiful vineyard with plenty of outside seating. There are also 5 other cellar doors within 10 minutes of the property, so it's a great basecamp for wine lovers! We offer a Big Breakfast Thursday through to Monday. Needs to be booked on arrival. We have plenty of level ground, ideal for pulling up for a night or several. Please note, all campers must be self-contained, with their own toilet, and we kindly ask you take all waste with you. Just outside the property, the Swan River flows past, a great place to cool off on hot days, sometimes there are fish there too. Swansea is 16km away and Bicheno is 26km away. Both towns have IGA supermarkets, bottle shops and restaurants, and plenty of history. Freycinet National Park is 40 minutes, and makes for a great day trip, with beautiful walks, fantastic scenery, and of course iconic Wine Glass Bay.

The property has good access for all vehicles, and there are plenty of flat sites for camping at the top of the property. Some minor leveling may be required in parts for RVs. Follow the 176-kilometre Great Eastern Drive from Orford in the south to St. Helens in the north, and hop out along the way to hike and kayak at Freycinet National Park, catch some waves along the Surf Coast, and swim and cruise at the beaches of the Bay of Fires. Campers have options ranging from holiday parks with full hookups, and pull-through sites suitable for large motorhomes to rustic coastal campgrounds or rural farm stays better suited for smaller campervans or self-sufficient campers. You can even drive over to Maria Island National Park or camp right by the beach at Mt. William National Park. Summer (December through March) is peak season for beach-hopping, but a spring or fall camping trip means fewer crowds and less traffic.
