Nestled in a mountainous region, this campsite offers a serene escape with its proximity to a ghost town and the historic town of Wallace. The hosts, Lisa and Phil, are frequently praised for their welcoming and accommodating nature, enhancing the camping experience with thoughtful touches like firewood and games. While the area is generally quiet and peaceful, some find the road proximity and occasional lack of Wi-Fi connectivity as minor drawbacks. Overall, the location's natural beauty and historical significance make it a memorable stop for campers.
Clean, well appointed.
Some bumpy communication on checking in, but that was mainly due to not realizing there would be no cell service. Lisa was very sweet and thoughtful.
Lisa’s place along the river north of Wallace ID is charming and we really enjoyed staying there. Lots of mining history nearby if you like that. Would stay there again when in the area.
We stayed 2 nights at Lisa’s place. It is a wonderful atmosphere. She thought of everything, even has extra extension cords for electric and water hookups.
We visited Wallace, which is a very cute town with lots of history. I would definitely stay here again.
Great spot for a stop driving through! The mining houses along Burke were so interesting!! Very cute little town:)
