Named one of the best Hipcamps to visit in 2023.
We do not provide hook-ups but there is a gas station not far from the ranch that provides clean-outs. We provide excellent clean water and an extension cord. We also provide some of the friendliest cutest animals to visit. This is self-check-in so find your clearly marked site and park. You are on a livestock working ranch with well taken care of animals. We will greet you when we are able do so. We purchased this wonderful 40 acre ranch in our retirement years. We had never done ranching or farming before and wanted a new experience with this gift called life. Being long time hard working Alaskans and living the Alaskan Adventure we could see no reason to be in our golden years and not have another adventure. Our many different animals provide us with entertainment and a purpose. Mini Donkeys asking for a bum rub and braying for breakfast always brings a smile. Alpacas, Llamas and Valais Black Nose Sheep, provides us with beautiful rugs from their own fiber that we sell in the Seven Stars Store. The rest of the hats, gloves, blankets and wonderful socks come from Peru. Mini horses that love to be brushed and even have their hair braided all make for an unusual experience. Our business is run on an honor system, and we ask that you practice the following: Be Good Stewards Of The Animals Be Good Stewards Of The Land Be Good Stewards Of The People Who Cross Your Path On Their Journey If you are looking for an animal adventure we might be a great spot for you as our business is how we take care of all of our friends on the Seven Stars Ranch. We welcome you, Sonia, Andy, and the 77 heartbeats

Great and Family Friendly location
Our family loved our stay at the seven stars alpaca ranch. The hosts were friendly and helpful and made us feel at home. The location and ranch are beautiful by themself. The access to electricity was really convenient and our Daughters really enjoyed spending time with all the animals especially the goats right behind our RV. Would definitely recommend a stay even if it’s just for one night.

Family friendly camping with Alpaca
Our family ADORED staying here with Andy, Sonia and their family of animals! The Seven Stars Ranch is kept in immaculate shape. There is no smell but fresh air. It was the best, most peaceful sleeping! So quiet! Andy was like an instant grandpa to the kids and taught them lots of neat things about the animals including how to groom a mini horse! Andy had 120V 15A power from his barn and some hoses that helped us keep our tanks full. Sonia was so kind after our son got a rock stuck up his nose. She offered to let us stay an extra night so we could get the most of our time. We declined because of our schedule but I would've stayed an extra week if I could. Just 15 mins from Couer D'Alene and all it offers. It was such a unique and special experience! Every night we would feed some carrots and apples to the alpacas, goats, and donkeys. We saw rabbits, their beautiful horse Conrad, mini horses, wild turkeys, and of course, their dogs. Loved loved loved it!!

I had a campervan and booked site 2. Had access to power, porta potty, and water. Highlight of the stay was being able to see all the animals. I was in the same pen as the alpacas. Got to see the goats, donkeys, and sheep. Slept well. I would stay again no problem.

Steep road.
The site was great and everything was very clean and safe. My only feedback would be to tell campers that the road is up a steep winding road. (Actually, I would recommend this HipCamp, but I pushed the wrong button and the system won't let me change my rating.)

What a great spot, our kids loved the stay and meeting all of their animals, the highlight of the kids spring break was helping Andy feed and move the animals at night and in the morning, we’ll definitely come back, thanks again!
