Peaceful camping with privacy on a 160-acre historic farm! Minutes from Harpers Ferry, Antietam Battlefield and the C&O Canal to name a few. We are within an hour of Gettysburg and within an hour and a half of DC if you're planning a day trip. We have a prime central location with close access to so many things to do. This beautiful property is nestled in a narrow valley between Elk Ridge and South Mountain with incredible sunrises, sunsets and starlit night skies. Walk out to the fishing pond, or follow the trails around the pastures to meet the cattle grazing in our pastures. We have Scottish Highlands and Black Angus grazing as well as Alpacas. We also have beautiful peacocks on the property. We are a working farm so expect to see tractors and you may even see us baling hay or tending to the cattle. You may smell some animal smells which we work at keeping to a minimum but again, we are a working farm. It’s a true farm experience. Also, please keep in mind that during warm weather you may encounter some bugs. Gnats and flies are always a possibility and of course at times they can be worse than others. That can always be a possibility when camping or being outdoors. Bring bug spray, citronella and anything else to help with insects. If you stay by the pond you may hear frogs which personally I enjoy hearing but some may not. Consider bringing a generator and run a fan if you think the sound might bother you or some way to block sounds. We enjoy talking to our guests so feel free to stop us for a chat. At the RV sites you have 30 and 50 amp power as well as water. All the water spickets are potable and drinkable.
Kimberly's farm offers a peaceful retreat with stunning views and close encounters with charming farm animals. Visitors appreciate the privacy, spaciousness, and the convenience of on-site amenities like firewood and fresh produce. While the majority of reviews are glowing, a few mention challenges with leveling trailers and limited toilet facilities. Overall, guests find the location ideal for exploring nearby historical sites and enjoy the quiet and natural beauty of the farm.
We loved our night on Kimberly’s land! We have a small campervan and so were able to stay at her Peaceful Pond site, which lived up to its name. The working farm can be seen from the site, but is far enough away to offer the privacy we wanted. It was also nice to have the option of using Kimberly’s clean portapotty. We’d love to return!
Our recent stay at Peaceful Pond Campsite was nothing short of amazing. My two sons, our dog, and I spent the weekend there, giving my wife a well-deserved break, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
The campsite is perfectly situated near a serene little pond and offers a level of privacy that’s hard to come by. Living in the suburbs, we rarely get the chance to let our dog run freely, but she absolutely loved it—spending the entire day exploring and burning off energy.
The sunsets were stunning, and the stars at night were truly breathtaking—a real treat for all of us. Kimberly, our host, was fantastic. She checked in to make sure everything was going smoothly, which made us feel very welcome.
Everything about the campsite was well-maintained. This was a memorable getaway, and we’ll definitely be back for more. Highly recommended for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy nature at it's best!
Kim was so responsive and accommodating plus the space was so much fun. The highland cows came right up to the fence and hung out plus the farm tuxedo cat was always keeping us company. We were rv camping with four kiddos and four adults and could not have had a better time!
We love staying here! It's so peaceful and private. We've become friends with the cows! The cat is eager for food and we were happy to share. It's super helpful that she has extra firewood to purchase also. The starry sky at night is incredible. We consider this our little retreat, a home away from home now. The area has plenty to offer for couples and families with kids and the property is centrally located.
What a great weekend! Thank you Kimberly for your willingness to share the amazing farm. Plenty of space and privacy between sites and Airbnb location. 30 Amp and water is always a treat! On site wood for purchase was great! The fridge stocked with items for purchase was very convenient. Visiting with the livestock and walks throughout the property were the highlights. We will be back!
This was such a nice trip for our family, we had a great time. The land was beautiful, and the tent area was open and large and plenty big enough for us to spread out and our son to run around. Our son was so excited to wake up to cows, and to play with the barn cat that followed us all the way up to the main house and back. We realized on night two we forgot our ground beef at home, and amazingly the host had some in a freezer with other fresh items for sale! It was incredible. The weather was perfect, albeit a little chilly, and we were able to observe the comet with gear we brought with us. We’re certainly going to be back!
