Tucked up against the Appalachian Mountain range, Rafeen Farm is a bucolic hideaway just an hour away from the nation's capital. This working horse farm offers shade and soft breezes in the summer by the pond and the autumn tapestry of falling leaves in the autumn. You can hike, paddle down the Potomac, take a trial ride on horseback, sip wine at a local vineyard, do sunset yoga, and make your own pottery all within a stone's throw of this serenity that is Rafeen Farm.You can pitch your tent in the woodline that offers privacy from the neighbors and farm residents or pull up your RV in the shade by the barn for easy hook-ups. Both places offer picnic tables and fire rings and it is only a 1 minute walk to the main house. On your way, you can pet a horse or toss a line in the pond. You can ask the owner about the farm's history and role in the Civil War or pop into Historic Middletown for a bite to eat.

Tent

I love camping at Rafeen farm. The site is very peaceful and has full views of the nearby mountain ridge which is absolutely gorgeous. Highly recommend.
