Located on the stunning Tumut River, where cool groves of black wattle line the riverbank, offering shade, privacy, and comfort. Here you have clear Snowy River water at your doorstep. It's so fresh we drink it! Each camping site is by the river, prime position for fishing, canoeing, and swimming. Based on availability, you are welcome to choose your spot on arrival. All options are grassed and level. You will have access to a pit toilet, otherwise, please BYO facilities. Small campfires are welcome in the fire pits provided, or BYO firepit (permitting there are no restrictions in place at the time). Firewood can be purchased at the time of booking. We're pet-friendly, so you're welcome to bring your four-legged friends along! Please note, however, that we are a working farm and as such farm activities are going on, and we have resident animals, so please keep your pets under control at all times. Also, please ensure kids are supervised at all times, particularly around the river. Lifejackets are recommended. During your time here, visit the local farm gates in Tumut, Batlow, Tumbarumba, and Adelong for their delicious high-country produce. There are also some beautiful swimming spots and walks to discover in the region, as well as good facilities in town, including the local swimming pool and shopping centre. Enjoy a local brew and bite to eat at the Tumut brewery. Bahwidgee is just 3km from the Tumut town centre - so close you could ride in, or even walk.

Spacious spot along the river

Wayne was a great host - very accommodating. We had a great spot along the river with plenty of space. Although it wasn’t the easiest access, we still managed to get into the river for a swim. The cows have full access to all the campsites so be aware there could be a cow or cow pop very close by (didn’t bother us at all).

Perfect location for fishing and canoeing. You can hear running river whole night. You can jump in southern end and drift down to the northern end of the property. The river flow is pretty quick so make sure you are reasonably good swimmer. Easy access to camp sites and the town is only 5 minutes down the road. If you are adventurous enough, you can kayak down from the dam to the campsite. Takes about 5 hours of easy paddling and drift.

Beautiful camping spot. Sites well spaced. Cows wandering around is lovely. Close to town so very convenient, but quite so you wouldn't know it.

Such an awesome spot!!! Me and the dogs loved it so much we stayed an extra night. Heaps of space, heaps of cows. Make sure you have a float in the river. Great coffee 5 minutes away and Junction Park is a perfect for the dogs to swim. Wayne the owner is a champ!! 10/10 recommend !!
