Binghi Station Located approximately 4.5hours from Brisbane, Queensland, or 1.5 hour drive west of Tenterfield, New South Wales. Binghi Station, once a large sheep station, was a thriving tin and gem mine from the late 1800 to mid 1900. Set on 4,000 acres of natural granite rock country and untouched overgrowth of lush tea tree bushlands, the sheer beauty of the land will, without a doubt, leave you breathless of its raw natural beauty. Binghi Station surrendered to the ravaging bush fires of 2019, however, after this devastation came some much needed rainfall which brought hope; the creation of new life in the form of rich, vibrant green country not seen since the 1980’s. You can explore endlessly on this raw outback property. Discover secret hideouts, come and enjoy a swim under our flowing waterfall (for those brave enough to during the winter months!) and simply relax and soak in pure wildlife beneath a million stars in the night sky. We strongly recommend access by 4WD only as the entry 6klm driveway is rugged and very bumpy in most places due to heavy rain fall past 12 months. Please ask for more details if necessary should you have any concerns based on your equipment. Its an ongoing maintenance. The Secret Gorge site is suited to swags, tents and camper trailers. It is not suited for Caravans over 15' due to a tight corner. Other site locations are suited to off-road 4WD caravans and camper trailers. Binghi Station - an extraordinary place to make some truly wonderful family memories. :-)

Shearing Shed Campground
Amazing spot
Wow what an adventure all round, 4wd is a must the road in certainly throws everything at you and the 5-6 kms in for us towning a van was about 45 minutes taking it very easy. Once we arrived it was straight up wow, we stayed at the shearing shed, the sunsets are just some of the best we have seen, 5 star pit toilets, then the adventure starts. Water was very cold considering we stayed in June our favourite was Jump Rock. Adrian his wife and kids are awesome very helpful with anything you may need. As recommended from other reviews to go all this way in you must stay for minimum 3 nights to get the most out of this stunning place.

Bliss!
What a fantastic spot. The view is lovely, and having such an amazing place entirely to yourself is something else. Facilities are great for bush camping, and Adrian is a lovely host. Would happily stay again. A great spot for small groups too!

Jump'n Rock
Excellent camping experience!
Our Binghi station camping trip was an impromptu decision and my first, proper camping experience. We jumped on Hipcamp and found this gem of high already had excellent reviews. I made an inquiry online to confirm some details and almost straight away received a response from Adrian (property owner). Adrian was so welcoming and did everything he could to ensure we were comfortable during our stay. He even sent us recent photographs of the sites to ensure we knew the space and terrain of the location we wanted to stay. We booked the Jump n’ Rock site and it well and truly exceeded our expectations. The site was big enough for larger group bookings but we had it all to ourselves. Having a big area for our two border collies to roam free and enjoy themselves too was a must for us. There is a makeshift toilet on site which made our time more comfortable. The views of surrounding mountains were spectacular and the kangaroos that stopped in to see what was going on made the camping experience wholesome. We also met Adrian in person when he stopped in to say hello. Lovely man and his knowledge of the land and history in the nearby national park was great. We 100% recommend Binghi station and we will definitely be back to visit again soon! Thanks for having us, Adrian!
