Our farm is named for its site on the South Toe river and this pristine and mighty river indeed showed us their power during Hurricane Helene. At this time, we will be closed for an indeterminate amount of time. The farm was completely flooded by Hurricane Helene September 27th, 2024. All the greenhouses, barns, and fields were impacted and destroyed. We hope to rebuild and open again some day, but the river is completely different and the riparian camping area is now a 30 foot wall of trees at this time. We have had such fond memories of all the people who have camped with us and grown to love our place as well. We thank you for all your love and energy. Make a donation on Go Fund Me, Green Toe Ground. Just search on that page. Thank you and hope to see you again maybe later in 2025. See our Instagram Green Toe Ground for updates. https://gofund.me/cd8fc0eb We have 3 sites available on the river.  When you book, you are booking ALL 3 SITES.  This has the capacity to host over 10 people! . Near the first campsite is also a public access point for our local community who is allowed to come and swim. If you prefer to see few people and have more quiet and seclusion, plan to set up in site 2 or 3 (primitive site) . Site 2 can accommodate 2 medium sized tents and site 3 one medium sized tent. We encourage guests that like a quiet camping experience with simple needs, as opposed to larger groups looking for a rowdier experience. The riverside campsites are right along the pristine South Toe river in a forested area at the edge of our organic farm. The camping sites are private and each site can access the river for swimming or fishing. Folks park at barn and walk 1 minute into farm where the sites are. There is a  pavilion for eating or hanging out with power to charge your phone, plus twinkle lights that can be used at night. Each site has a  firepit  and wood is at pavilion (if paid for and reserved).  Sites are in our main vegetable production area so we are around and working during weekdays but less on weekends. There is an electric fence nearby, so use caution, it is flagged.

Awesome spot for campers of any skill level! Beautiful access to the river and having 3 sites to choose from was awesome. Close to a ton of great hikes and things to do. The hosts were wonderful! Communicative and hospitable, yet it felt super private as well. We opted for the veggie box, and as a chef, I can tell you alot of love goes into their work. 10/10 will be back.

We stayed at site 1 which had everything we were wanting for our trip; access to lazy river for tubing, swimming hole(rope swing across the river if you dare), and peace and quiet. Site 2 & 3 could use a little maintenance but I guess would be fine if you were wanting more privacy and primal experience. Nicole is an excellent host and her farm fresh vegetables were a nice bonus. Would highly recommend this site!
