What to expect
Cabin
You'll have this Hipcamp all to yourself.

Campfires allowed
Firewood provided, wood burning fireplace. There is also a chimenea in patio our guests can enjoy. Other than that, knowing how to build and maintain a fire in a wood stove is important during the colder months. Our house is pretty tight so you have to open the window next to the fireplace before you start a fire, otherwise, the smoke will not be drawn up the chimney. This is common in homes that are well insulated and tight. Do not use the cook stove in the kitchen
Toilet available
Composting toilet. The most involved process in our house is the composting toilet. You have to make a "deposit," into the master compost bin when you check out, or when you fill up a toilet receptacle. Overall it's an easy process. Simply watch the video on how to use it on the tablet that we have provided for you to use in the cabin, along with other Instructional videos.

Cozy cottage getaway!
Cozy, private little cottage! Great opportunity to shut off electronics and connect with each other. We had some bumps in the beginning getting everything working but the Cristina was very responsive and helped us!

Exactly what we needed.
Group trip
Sassafras was exactly what we wanted. Quiet and unplugged yet convenient to local attractions. The bunk beds were perfect for our two children and the loft was great. It’s very apparent that the hosts have no shortage of love for this place. Enjoyed the wood cooktop very much. We would happily stay here again with or without the kids (this would make an excellent romantic retreat). The hosts staged the space wonderfully and it did not go unnoticed. Everything we needed was provided.
