We are an on-farm processing dairy where we take the milk from our own farm and bottle this in glass returnable bottles. We make many different products as can be seen on our website www.slateriverdairy.com We also sell other local products. We let campers stay in our parking lot where they can enjoy a beautiful sunset and many hiking trail just minutes away from us. Campers can walk down to the river and maybe see a beaver hard at work. Campers will not be allowed to walk to the farm as insurance won't let us. There are many activities that can be done around here in nature and we will provide a map and explanation of where the activity is and provide website links as well of the many hiking trail around us. There is a lake about 12 min drive from us with a nice beach. We will provide a pick nick table and can set up a badminton net as well for those that like to have a badminton game. A short walk from us a small Catholic country church, and you can walk to the Slate River Bridge on Hwy 608 and on Hwy 61.Slate River Dairy is a on-farm dairy processor, where you can buy all your dairy needs and other local products. We have a level gravel parking lot, where an amazing sunset will take your breath away in the evening. For those that want to pitch a tent, you can do so on our large lawn around the building. The view of the mountain to the west of us will make this the perfect spot for taking pictures of nature. We are a two minute walk from Slate River that you can walk to on the side of the Hwy and go down to the river by the bridge either on Hwy 608 or on Hwy 61, a few more minute of hiking brings you to a little Country Catholic Church, and along Hwy 608 you can hike, run or bike up the hill for a good workout. We have many other hiking trails and waterfalls in the area for anyone to explore. Please ask for a map ( during store hours only) of where these hikes are. We are also a 13 minute drive from Oliver Lake where you can go fishing, boating, canoeing, and swimming. If you come after store hours please find a spot either in our parking lot or on the lawn.

Staying in the farm was so cool! Wilma was super friendly, accommodating, and insightful. She gave lots of information about activities in and around the area, and provided a very nice and calming camping environment. I would love to stay here again!

Pros:
Host was fantastic to speak with.
Location was easy to find.
Scenery was beautiful.
Cons:
Despite being on leash only for guests they do have dogs that are off leash. (Stella seemed super friendly however my dogs don't like other dogs which is why we picked an on leash site).
Despite being a dairy farm didn't see the cows at all.
