We have a private 20 acres of shady land not far from the pretty town of Childers.
Our property features a spring-fed creek with fish. Bring your fishing rods as there is silver perch and perch for catch and release fishing only. The rest of the property features open grasslands and bush.
We are pet friendly, unpowered sites with access to a flushing portaloo toilet. Campers must have everything they need and leave no trace.
Just 20 minutes inland from the beautiful coastal beaches.
With flat and comfortable sites, this is a haven for anyone venturing to the Fraser Coast.
It's a 2 minute drive into town for supplies and where you can enjoy a range of pubs, cafes and shops.
Lots of things to do and see in the area including a bird park and the Snakes Down Under display.
*Booked campsites - please note on arrival you will be directed to our general camping areas, you are free to pick any spot to set up your camp.
I felt really uncomfortable as a solo female traveller. The space is beautiful, if you are in a group it would be lovely. But I felt unsafe after meeting the owner and being the only camper on the property, I found alternative accomodation.
Absolutely beautiful property. Stayed at plenty of hipcamps along the way and this was by far the best maintained ground's. Plenty of open space for the kid's and dog's and also heaps of shaded areas to stay out of the sun.
The creek that runs through the property and abundance of birds were so peaceful.
Childers town is less than 5 minutes away and you would never know. Didn't hear any traffic at all during the day or night.
Definitely recommend.
Beautiful peaceful space by a small babbling creek, plenty of bird life. Close to town. Added bonus of a porta-loo. Thank you Tony for a wonderfully relaxing stay.
A bit disappointing this time...a house on the property had loud music playing most of the day for one of my stay...very opposite from the peaceful place I visited previously.
