Welcome to 'Bares Hideaway', a 43 acre property nestled away from prying eyes in a secluded valley along the Liverpool Ranges in Grandchester. We are a short 1 hr drive from Brisbane and Toowoomba surrounded by acres of bushland. We are a 10 minute drive from Rosewood and Laidley where you will find cafes, supermarkets, fuel and a variety of other things to enjoy. Our lovely campground will accommodate swags, tents, campers, caravans and motorhomes. We provide an extensive camping ground which ensures that you will have a large amount of space to set up comfortably. Flushing toilets and hot showers are provided. We offer you the choice of a standard enclosed private shower or the fun of open air showers. We also have ice, firewood and kindling for sale. We are happy for you to come and camp on your own or book the entire place if you have an event, large groups are welcome. There is a designated area that can be hired for parties and private functions with marquees available if required. If you are looking for clothing optional camping we fully welcome this, however we need to know prior to booking clothing optional so we can check on our availability to accommodate you. We support you however we cannot always accommodate you due to other bookings. Pets are welcome and must be under control and on a leash as there are farm animals kept on this property. Camp fires are permitted in communal fire areas or at your camp in provided fire drums. There is a limited number of fire drums available, so you are welcome to bring your own. The only exception will be if a local fire ban is activated. We have firewood available for sale, or you can collect free firewood off the ground. You are also welcome to bring your own firewood. No chainsaws allowed. Please note that there is no potable water on site. You must bring your own DRINKING water. During extreme weather events the property can be affected, so if rain is forecast, please call before heading out. Loved our time camping at Bares Hideaway. Facilities were great. Benjamin the goat lived up to his reputation. Loved having all the animals around. Hosts were both friendly and very helpful. Will definitely be back.

Great escape close to home
Great “local” getaway only 1hr from Brisbane. We were down in the gully – cool and shaded (not good for solar) but isolated and private with our own “Kermit”. HOT showers, flushing toilet clean and not smelly. Fires allowed, and sheep and goats that roam the property. First visit from Benjamin is entertaining and scrambling, you learn after that 😊 Not a long walk into town – just a hike up the hill to get back to the road. Would definitely recommend and return. Hosts great to deal with both friendly and helpful. Make sure to follow the host directions to camp and not google.
