This was our 1st Hipcamp so didn't know what to expect. Was hoping for an almost no neighbours type wilderness but I guess that might be unrealistic. When I saw half dozen van looking kinda close in a paddock I was taken aback. But, it wasn't as bad as I first thought. The creek / river is a big horse shoe with all the vans facing the creek so no one was looking in on each other. Most people left on the Sunday morning so it was even better then for kids to explore and run around with the dog.
It is super peaceful listening to the creek all night. And very close to Brisbane. Host was super friendly and highly recommend as a quick get away for a night or two.

Lovely place to stay by the river. Grounds are really neat and tidy, hosts are lovely. Firepits are an added bonus. Would be happy to stay here again.

Easter Holidays

We spent 3 nights over Easter at Bindarah Down and absolutely loved our stay. Shane and Kim were warm, welcoming hosts. Shane shared a great overview of the property and its history, and told us all about the animals, including the beautiful horses, cows, and some very friendly dogs. The campground is surrounded by a stunning river, and we were lucky to enjoy perfect weather the whole time.
Our son had a great time playing with other kids around the camp and down by the river, it was so nice to see him making friends and enjoying the outdoors.
The peaceful setting, combined with the natural beauty of the property, made it a truly relaxing getaway. One small suggestion would be to add a table and chairs at the top of the hill, it's such a breathtaking spot, and it would be lovely to sit and take in the view for a little longer.
Thank you, Shane and Kim, for a memorable stay—we’d love to come back!
