Come and relax at our flat, peaceful 5 acre hobby farm. Most animals wander around example the sheep, ducks and chooks, all the poultry. We have a mini pig (Splat) that has her own paddock as she likes to escape and you definately don't want a pig in your tent or swag or pushing your furniture about. 😆 She is super gentle and please go in and give her some belly rubs and pats. We also have Gibbles the male gobbler turkey (his gobble gobble is a delightful sound), dorper sheep, hens and Henry Rooster, so theres will be a cock a doodle do in the mornings, ducks and horses if I have enough grass. You can ask for the horses to be here for your visit, they are often at other agistment nearby. Baby animals are seasonal, ducklings and baby chicks in summer and lambs after winter roughly. There are a couple of small playgrounds, double flushing toilets, picnic tables and chairs for your convenience and a nice above ground pool to stay cool in. We have firewood for sale, and I make a great expresso coffee if your a coffee lover, like myself. Bring some cash for firewood, coffee and other bits and pieces. The $45 camp fee pays for 2 adults and 1 child. Extra adults campers are $20 adults and $5 for kids. We also offer day visits for $5 per person. Plenty of room for caravans, buses and horse floats. I have a round yard and horse yards and horses are $10 per horse/night to cover water costs. BYO hay. Wivenhoe Dam, Atkinson Dam and the Brisbane river are all closeby. The famous rail trail that a lot of horse riders and cyclists enjoy is just a klm down the road. (keep an eye out for koalas) Hope to see you soon.Come and relax at our quiet 5 acre farm to re-charge yourself. I find it relaxing to watch the farm animals and sheep wandering around grazing. Our mini pig (Splat) has her own paddock now as she started escaping to the neighbours for fun. Young children need to be supervised around the animals. We feed the ducks and chooks in the morning and afternoons, the kids love this part. The sheep are more gentle to feed from your hand than the ducks. Wivenhoe Dam, Atkinson Dam, Brisbane River are all close by and I can help guide you towards lots of other great tourist attractions in the area. I have a fantastic local tourist magazine that I will give you on arrival. We have lots of space for kids to run and play. There is a small playground which has a see saw, swings, metal barrel horse for pretend riding and interesting termite mounds for climbing. Campfires are permitted when there are no fire restrictions in place. Some fire pits are available and firewood is on site for purchase. Cash only. There are no street lights or bright light towns nearby so make sure to look up, as the stars are amazing. Guests are required to have their own shower if required and to bring drinking water unless you are ok with unfiltered rain water. All are unpowered. We have a double block of flushing toilets and an above ground swimming pool to stay cool in. Some picnic tables and chairs you can use too. We are also close enough to Coominya town that has a little supermarket for any items you may have forgotten to bring, a take away store and the local pub. The chemist/post office is open during week days. Brisbane Valley rail trail is just down the street too for easy bike and horse or walking trail. My 11 year old daughter loves playing with other kids that visit. We really love sharing our blessings with others and meeting new people. I would love the farm to bring like minded campers and families together to re-charge themselves. Sorry, NO DOGS PERMITTED. Pocket pets, cats on leads, birds in cages or horses are permitted. Horses are $10 per horse/ night. Just ask before booking if unsure. If your on fb check us out at-Coominya Hobby Farm Please message me if you have any questions. We look forward to meeting you soon.

Happiest hobby farm in Queensland
Tent
Anna is clearly hardworking but still has plenty of time to chat with her guests. Animals everywhere, making lots of animal noises (including the rooster from 3.30am...). Fire rings for every campsite, great toilet facilities, an above ground pool, but no showers. Would highly recommend this site, particularly for young families. The kids will love the animals!

The location was convenient as it was next to Coominya town, the animals were so fun to watch and play with, nice starry sky at night to enjoy with a campfire going. Loved everything.
