Hart Hill boasts a stunning 28 acres. Your initial view of the property coming over a Thanes Creek causeway is that of a magnificent rock face. However, 600m down the road, through the gate, and over the ridge, Hart Hill exposes a lovely undulating fold baring a huge panorama of flat alluvial ground that hugs Thanes Creek. Sprinkled with gums, the camping area is based west of the property in a stunning shady lea cooled by the creek and an old windmill for a backdrop. The properties history is colourful. In 1869 the area was a hub for gold diggers wanting to strike it lucky. Old wooden stumps tell a story of an old mining hut, and if you dug in some of the rock heaps you might get a shock when you uncovered more than gold. Visitors can enjoy campfires, fossicking, including swimming, kayaking, fishing and more dependant on seasonal changes to the creek.

Loved our little stay here, will definitely be back. Close to rivers thanes Creek. Jane was a lovely host with her two friendly dogs keeping guard for snakes and eating snacks ☺️

The Peninsula

Enjoyed our 3 days here. The camp ground is clean, tidy and well spaced out. The offer to purchase a few supplies when Jane went into town was very thoughtful.

Wind Break

We had a lovely relaxing weekend away at Hart Hill camping! Such a peaceful and beautiful area to get away from it all. The highlight was definitely the resident dogs T-Rex and Jack who showed us to our campsite and kept us company throughout our stay. Thanks for having us!

excellent people excellent campsite. Very calming with a beautiful sunset over the big hill. showers and bathrooms are clean and easy (cold water, but maybe i just didn’t have it setup correctly as i was worried about wasting water). great grassy area, but be aware when walking dog of prickly pears! nice and close to warwick town for a quick trip in for a coffee if needed can’t wait to go back.

Had a great stay at Hart Hill. Jane is super kind and accomodating. Beautiful views and nice clean showers & toilets. Definitely will be coming back here again. If you’ve forgotten anything, ice, firewood or even marshmallows she’s got you covered.

This is one of the true treasures. It is a beautiful property with incredible amenities. Jane and Mark were so welcoming and accommodating. Our little dog Dot loved the space and playing the T-Rex and Jack (and Ash when he came for his afternoon visit). We will absolutely be back to join you guys for another afternoon drink 🍻
