Tired of the rat race! Then chill out at High Country Haven. A peaceful 600-acre cattle property nestled in the picturesque Burnett ranges. The stunning views, sunrises, sunsets and night sky will amaze you. You can bush walk, bird watch, mountain bike ride, take wildlife photos, enjoy the farm or just sit around a campfire. Choose between a remote site suited to the self sufficient camper or a site near the farmstead with fantastic views. View the video link... https://youtu.be/HiKWTxmaNnY The Sunrise and Sunset sites are located on a large mown area near the farmstead. They have access to 240v power and tap water. Each site can accommodate up to 8 people. The Moon Shadow is located just beyond the tree line on the perimeter of a large undulating paddock with creeks. It is close to the Bania National Park. Attractions within 20 minutes’ drive include: the historic mining town of Mt Perry (museum, pub, shop and old picture house converted to a restaurant), the Mt Perry Summit Walk (highest peak between Brisbane and Rockhampton), the Boolboonda Tunnel (longest unsupported rock tunnel in the Southern Hemisphere), the Bania National Park (swimming holes), the National Trail, the Wolca Reserve Mountain Bike Riding Track, the Mt Perry Copper Mine and local fossicking/panning. You can see the best scenery here. The camping site is quiet and peaceful. The owner, Gordon, seems like a very genuine person.

Directions to find were good. They were good hosts. Camp area is nice grass area. It is a shame that we were only staying for one night as I would love to explore more of the area. Will have to go back again later to explore. It was just what my son and myself needed for a relaxing night away.
