Nomadic camping
Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
We have 178 acres of beautiful land hidden in the hills of Tarome in the Scenic Rim community. An amazing view of the national park and Cunninghams Gap. There is a hidden creek at the back of the property that never runs dry, running from Gap Creek Falls at the top of Cunninghams Gap. The location is perfect for a quick getaway or long stay, complete privacy and little reception depending on your phone service, ensuring a peaceful camping stay. There is lots of activities within a short drive from the property including fishing at Lake Moogerah, hiking the mountain tops or having brunch at the amazing local cafe's in the area. Our campsites are hidden in the hills, down by the creek or out in the open. You will need a 4 WD to access the rear of the property. There is a steep incline at the beginning of the track followed by a tight corner because of this caravans must be off road and under 17 ft. Make sure your car has the power and weight to get it up the hill. There are 3 x 2WD camping options for caravans over 17ft or those not off road. Depending on the type of vehicle and van will dictate your camping locations. Maximum caravan access for the rear of the property is 17ft off road van. This is due to the hill climb and a tight corner at the top. Please be aware of the weight you are towing and your car is capable of pulling it up the hill. Dogs are welcome but must stay within the camp, be under control or on a leash. If you have friends who you want to invite but don't have camping gear that's okay, we have the option to hire a camper trailer. All they need to bring is food and drinks. Only 1 available, please see Extras. We welcome self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water. All human, food and general waste is to be removed upon leaving the campsite. We have fireplaces set up but if you prefer a different site for your fire please bring your own fire pit. Good Firewood for camp ovens etc is available for purchase under Extras. Pre order your wood. For this one off price we will supply you for wood for your whole stay. There is sometimes wood located at each campsite but the amount and quality is varied. Check in and out times are flexibility but please arrange time prior to arrival

Peaceful and breathtaking views!

We had an amazing stay at this campsite! The view of Cunningham Gap was breathtaking, and we loved swimming in the creek every day. It was so peaceful to see horses and cows wandering around while we immersed ourselves in nature. The nights were truly magical, with a crackling fire under a sky full of stars—plus, we could even see the Milky Way! While we experienced some unfortunate weather during the first two days that almost flooded our campsite, it didn’t take away from the experience. The location was incredibly unique and serene, and the owners were so helpful and accommodating. We opted to pay the wood fee for firewood, and the owner was quick to bring us more timber whenever we asked. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a peaceful, nature-filled getaway!

Incredible spot
A perfect way to recharge. This site was absolutely incredible, the drive in was gorgeous and the seclusion road entering the property rippled peace throughout. You defintely need a 4wd to enter the camp site and man it was a fun little track to go over. The owners are beautiful and really provided a great sense of comfort. The creek is absolutely gorgeous and I spent hours exploring, occasionally cows would walk past and the bird would sing. Incredible, recommend to all who 4wd

Must stay here!

Loved our weekend at Over The Creek! Second time for my husband, kids and dog, first time for me. The creek was fantastic and the kids really loved it. Super clean, fresh water. Plenty of spots deep enough to swim and float in. Lots of little “waterfalls” and one slightly bigger one. We only walked about 10 minutes of the creek so I’m sure there were plenty more awesome parts we missed. We got the firewood and toilet which was clean and very handy for mum and 3 daughters. Looked like all camping spots were full when we were there but we only really came across one other group of people in close proximity as we were each walking different ways down the creek. We were the only group we saw with kids, which is a shame as this place is perfect for kids!

Lovers lane was just the romantic overnight me and my boys needed, quiet secluded and no phone reception at all, abundant swimming holes along the street with clear water, definitely will be heading back soon. ,
