We have two gorgeous self-contained tiny homes perched right above our namesake billabong, offering seclusion and comfort, 5 minutes away from the Rainforest village Kuranda. We have the perfect spot waiting for you when you return after a day of sight seeing! Our spacious campgrounds offer plenty of shady and sunny spots perfect for your next stay. The cabins feature a mezzanine level queen bedroom, a kitchenette with microwave, toaster and fridge, a completely open living space with fold out couch for additional guests and a private deck overlooking our beautiful billabong with outdoor shower/bathtub. Easily accessible through the campground entrance, once inside our cabin you will feel totally secluded from the rest of the world: it's just you, the trees and the birds. We have and impressive amount of fire pits around the property and you are welcome to use them throughout your entire stay! Relax and enjoy, we have plenty of space to accommodate your stay. The Billabong Kuranda - Unpowered

The first night was good. The second night was a nightmare: a last minute warning (same day) that a wedding was organised in the campsite. As a result, half of the campsite area was restricted and there was music until early in the morning as loud as if we were there, we simply didn't sleep. We find it scandalous that the campsite allowed booking at the same time as they welcome wedding, our experience is greatly affected.

It was expensive for camping even though you get to use the shower other than that It was very nice place to be

We loved The Billabong. They had a pizza night on Wednesday where we met other travellers and locals. The site was spacious and had everything we needed. We’d highly recommend and come back again.

This is a magical spot and it’s being upgraded too. The owners are dreaming big here! Has a cafe with limited opening hours, really good amenities and is pet friendly. You won’t be disappointed!
