Welcome to Shire Hill Grove! LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. We are less than 1 mile off of I-95 (exit 38 SC) in the Low Country of South Carolina. Our 62 acre farm in nestled in the “middle of nowhere, but close to every where”. We are located close to 3 amazing historical cites, Beaufort, Charleston and Savannah! Our sites offer beautiful scenery from the Red barn, Moss draped Live Oak trees, Pecan Grove, horses, goats and more. We have a brand new Bathhouse with 2 full private baths. Washer and dryer, 30 amp hookups and water. We could even accommodate your equine friends if needed!

Come for animals, stay for stars!

Where do I begin! This place is so special. We booked a week with our RV but ended up staying longer, and we were so sad to leave! Nichole is a fantastic host and just an awesome person all around. She knows the area well and has great recommendations and stories. The bathroom is really nice and clean, and having laundry was very convenient. Most importantly, THE ANIMALS! We absolutely loved feeding our veggie scraps to the pigs and goats, walking up the driveway to see her gorgeous horses, and spending some evenings with the 4 donkeys! We never saw any gators but we did see an armadillo which was fun (we are from VA and don't have any). Our favorite though was the barn kitty, Rupert. He is such a cool cat who we fell in love with! The location is amazing with Beaufort, Charleston and Savannah close enough for day trips - and the property is only 1 mile off 95. Starlink worked well here, even for video calls, but not sure how well it would work if you're staying under the oak trees. The stars were incredible! I highly recommend this spot, especially if you love animals. We are already planning our next trip back!

Nice secluded farm with easy access to I95. It was fun to see the horses, pigs and goats. One of the nicest bathrooms I’ve seen at a Hipcamp/campground. There is donkey poop but did not diminish our camping experience. Would definitely stay there again.

The most amazing country adventure
12 ft travel trailer ·
This was such an AWESOME place for our adventure! It was halfway between home and where we picked up our new overland trailer. The hosts greeted us Friday evening and were very friendly and welcoming. The bath house was SO clean that it made us feel like we were at home. Rupert (the cat) hung around with us most of Friday evening and was very friendly. The goats said hi every time We went to the bathhouse and the pig greeted us the morning we left. Washer and clothes dryer were available and even had laundry detergent available. We will DEFINITELY stay here again!

Exceeded my expectations

We loved staying at Nicole’s place. In fact right after we left I sent pictures to my camping friends and highly recommended it. It is so beautiful and peaceful the sites were well spaced. The bathroom with a shower! Was spotless and spacious. It was quiet and peaceful. And you were not overly aware of the proximity of I-95! We will definitely come back and perhaps stay a bit longer!
