Dragonfly Island Campsite
Dragonfly Island is a perfect little get-a-way site only 30 minutes outside of Chattanooga. It was very easy to find and the wide tree lined streets were well maintained. My 11’ RV had no problem getting to Jon’s place. The site was on grass and perfectly level. I didn’t have to use any stabilizers. Jon provided power and water.
Jon and his boys all rode bikes with me to the local farm store which had an amazing array of meats, cheeses and produce. The boys helped me weigh my tomatoes (mouth watering delicious) and complete our purchases, using the honor system, while the owner worked in the back.
Back at camp a fire was blazing. I was treated to a blend of conversation and quiet time that was just right for my soul. My dog enjoyed our leashed walks by the farm property smelling the smells and seeing the array of farm animals, such as sheep, miniature ponies, donkeys and free range chickens.
Really enjoyed my visit and highly recommend Dragonfly Island!

Jon and his family are wonderful hosts. The location of the door is beautiful. Worth walking trails and lots of natural beauty.
This is ideal for anyone with a fully enclosed camping setup who just needs water and electricity.
We ordered the breakfast one morning. Such a treat to have the whole family bring us breakfast outside our camper.

This was the perfect stop as we drove through Tennessee on our way back to the midwest. Jon was super accommodating and even though the airstream had been disconnected due to the cold, he got it all set up, heated, and provided bedding very last minute. I had booked it same day only hours before we were due to arrive. It's cool seeing the original fixtures and things. Also it is a pretty and quiet cul de sac right next to a creek. The stars were so bright. Check it out
